Photos from the Luke Cage Set Revealed Online

With Daredevil and Jessica Jones already on Netflix, many fans know that what it coming next from Marvel is Luke Cage, who appeared quite a big in Jessica Jones' first season. Currently, the Luke Cage Netflix series is shooting and images from the set are popping up everywhere today.

The shots show some of the cast, including Michael Colter, who plays the titular character and the return of Rosario Dawson, who plays Claire Temple.

Hope Luke Cage's love interest will be Claire. Not only is she awesome, but he deserves better than Jessica. Now I sound like a Tumblr shipper.

Looks like Dawson has a more substantial role in this than she did in DD or JJ, which is very good news. I had completely forgotten that Frank Whaley had been cast as Det. Scarfe in this. So I assume that the woman holding his hand in the shot where he's lying on the ground is his partner, Det. Misty Knight.

Looking forward to this.

I'm anticipating this more than either DD Season 2 or JJ Season 2. I just like getting to see new sides of this street universe, and Colter is an awesome Power Man.

Speaking of new sides to the street universe, I'm very happy that this is set in Luke's Harlem rather than Hell's Kitchen like the other shows. Hopefully Iron Fist is set in Chinatown to give the street universe more visual variety.

Also, Mariah's outfit is a great homage to what she wore in the comics. I'm happy they're turning her from a (bad) joke character to a more serious, professional one.

Claire is so pointless, hopefully they actually tie her into the main plot for once.

Loved JJ's take on Luke, and I can't wait for more. Instead of being surprised, I kind of expect him and Jess to show up during DD season 2.

Iron Fist is still happening they've already come out and said it after all these rumours of it being canceled or turned into a movie.

I don't really get the love for Claire Temple - she was a bland but acceptable character in DD, in JJ she was awkwardly shoehorned in and annoying. Up until they killed him off, I thought Ben Urich was going to be the focus about which the 4 shows connected, still think they should have gone that way.

Seriously, JJ already demonstrated that Luke has no need for a glorified first-aider. And a man who can heal broken bones with his chi isn't going to need her either.

I like Claire but after seeing all of JJ, I still ship Jessica & Luke so hard, hope she shows up in this show too as he did show up in hers, so fairs fair.

Ok my two cents for Luke:

Jessica = best sex ever but killed his wife while mind controlled

Claire = sweet, nice match but likely too much like his dead wife and always must be cautious during sex.

In his position I'd lean Jessica...

@mrkareemruiz: I think you missed the part of Luke admitting he didn't fully believe Jessica on that. His actions of thinking he could charge Kilgrave kinda proved that.

As to the trust issue, I believe after his taste of being controlled he understood why she stayed quite. After all its not like he can admit to kicking the butt out of cops and say mind control. He's now walked in her shoes and knows Jessica got it a hundred fold worse. Plus she did avenge his wife's murder too.

Obviously he'll need time but there's just no way the Defenders could form with Jessica and Luke on the team unless Luke was willing to forgive Jessica on this.

In the comics Jessica is always doing stupid selfish stuff like that and after some arguing Luke forgives her. Just look at Civil War in the comics. Obviously they're at least heading that direction in the shows.

@lordryus: @lordryus: Just because Jessica got raped and had to kill people doesn't mean she can mess up Cage and other peoples lifes without push back. She's lucky she found good men in Cage and Malcolm. Jessica's a B to everyone and just wants them to take it. Cage could not forgive her and they could still work together on the Defenders. Let her be a B to Daredevil as Cage gets with a good woman Claire.
