So, Infinity War obviously has some very devastating scenes and outcomes, and I have heard a large number of adults say that they had to console their kids after leaving the theater, and had to continue to do so a whole day after seeing the movie.

These are the consequences fans have been asking for since the Avengers, and this movie pays off spectacularly.

Do kids tears equal a satisfying film? I think they might.

We shouldn't seek to protect kids from crying over every little thing. It's a healthy experience especially with something like entertainment. It helps them cope when something bad in life actually happens.

honestly if the kids didn't fully understand the cause and effect of civil war, they are in for a rude awakening in IW unless the parents didn't even bothered to explain that.

Jokes aside, it's not unexpected, and yes, it does show the effective impact of the movie. It shows how much people cared about these "comic book characters". I hope Marvel makes more emotional movies like this that touch people's heart.

I saw the movie with my wife and my three kids. Two teenagers and a 8 years old boy.

4/5 loved it.

1/5 hated it.

Try to guess who is who...

They should have explained them that it is just a movie and it is all fake before going.

well its fantasy...kids can discuss tragedy in faction, people are learn about death this way, other young people of their generations would have seen mobs and public executions, others watched Tightrope-walker Karl Wallenda falling To His Death, they watched Wars broadcast on tv, seen news reporters suicide themselves, or watched hijacked aircraft fly into the WTC on live tv followed by people jumping out of burning buildings during the 911 attacks

The franchise is 10 yrs old and the movie Got an official PG-13 Rating, I hope they make the next film even darker Rated R 18, "NC-17" like Matrix, Lust Caution, The Passion of the Christ, Deadpool, Logan, IT etc

A 5-6 yo kid at my cinema wont shut up the whole time, it's pretty annoying. I expected(and want) him to cry but he didn't . It sucks.

It's quite violent for pg-13 imo, Loki death is pretty brutal.

Don't take your 3 year old to watch it in the first place, don't complain about it afterwards.

This film was not as lighthearted and family friendly as the others, much more serious tone which I think the MCU will be following in Phase 4 all around.

It was good. I needed that. And it's not like we saw bloodbaths, it's just he end of the world.

It's a PG-13 movie. Why the hell did the parents bring KIDS to Infinity War??? I heard a BABY crying during the movie. A BABY!!! Parents need to be more mindful of the activities they introduce to their kids. Sure it starts with infants and 5-7 year old kids to a PG-13 movie, but think about the future. Parents might bring infants to rated R movies.

Most PG 13 movies today could have been PG back in the day. I guess parents shouldn't have taken their kids to see any Lion King or Bambi as well because of the death.

Kids are gonna cry when a character they like "dies" imagine how they're gonna feel when they all come back next year.

Though I do feel the Parents should be complain about it, as I'm sure most of the older generations went through something similar and realize its a short phase. I'm gonna just give props to the good parents who consoled their kids and either explain its just a movie or some other jumbo about the characters are fine.

Parents just gotta tell their kids that Dr. Strange was clearly planning something and everything is reversible due to the time stone. Of course, if they don't pay attention...

On a slightly more serious note, the ending freakin blows if you're a kid. I remember when I was a kid and a die-hard Spider-Man fan. I probably woukd have been borderline inconsolable after seeing Spidey fade into dust. With that said, waiting for the next film and wondering if their favourite character will make it out in one piece somehow will probably be a salient childhood memory for more than a few millenials due to the intensity of the emotions involved. It's like that time Picard was a Borg at the end of a season of TNG and everyone lost their shit.

Is not like other kid film had no death in them. Hell the movies are god damn pg-13, and is good to each kid about death. Is something people have to face and we should not hide it to our kids.

To be completely honest, I told my friends before the movie came out that if it didn’t make kids cry, it was done wrong. Thanos getting the gauntlet and taking out heroes should be scarring. It makes the sequel all the more satisfying

I really don’t understand why there aren’t any comic book movies for kids. We get Big Hero 6. And that’s it.

Incredibles I guess.

If you have kids traumatized over IW, then you haven't raised them to deal with the mild inconveniences of life... god only knows what will happen when these kids loose a parent, or a pet.

Well, in the next movie we will probably see time reversed resurrections and then some more permanent deaths (probably Cap), further traumatizing the little buggers.

That said, this movie effected me. I had frightening, end of the world Infinity War related dreams Thursday night after seeing this.

It’s important for kids to learn that good does not always triumph over evil. For me it was with The Empire Strikes Back. They need to toughen up and leave their tears on the playground.

The same happened with Batman Begins, IIRC.

That movie scared off many kids.

if you know anything you'll know that there were going to be hero deaths in this film and you still took your kids knowing they weren't mature enough to watch said film. Bad parenting.
