I was very disappointed by Episode VII, so I don't know if I want to see this new spin-off. Have you seen it? can you please tell me your thoughts about it?(possibly without spoiler, thanks)

@god_spawn: Same. R1 has become my favorite movie of the year and my 2nd favorite STAR WARS behind Empire
Can someone tell me roughly how much screen time Vader gets? I don't want any details, just to know if it was worth putting him in the movie.
Roughly 5 to 7 minutes, all worth it.
Sounds good. I've never seen Vader on the big screen except right at the end of RoS so I'm getting pretty excited.
I'll see it tomorrow so I can give my non spoiler thoughts then.
Honestly. Even without Jedi and all that. It was better than the force awakens all the prequels
Real original.

Was it suppose to be?
Definitely better than TFA, but I can tell it's going to be hyped undeservingly. There are some pretty evident problems with this movie that are likely to be ignored because it's Star Wars, just like TFA.
It's still good though
It's a glorified commercial for Star Wars toys. Perfectly average, entirely inoffensive, utterly forgettable.
@lawz: I feel the same.
I think it was quite a generic action movie to be honest. K2-SO and Donnie Yen were pretty good but the rest of the cast were a bit bland. The plot was fine but nothing amazing.
The final act was a great battle but I think comparing it to Saving Private Ryan is absurd. It never felt like I was stuck in a gritty battle to the death like a real war because it was mixed with scenes from the mission they needed to finish reminding me that it was still a movie. Also I have no idea why they couldn't send the message straight from the giant tower and had to get the pilot to drag the cable out in the open and to the ship but maybe I didn't pay enough attention. It was refreshing to have that Magnificent Seven feeling that actually these characters are in a real fight and will die but it would have felt better if it wasn't mixed with a mission impossible/james bond style infiltration part. Also killing the vast majority of them with explosives took away some of the feeling compared to seeing people getting shot where you feel it a lot more and have time to take in their death.
Overall I would say better than Episode II but probably not the rest and that's mostly because I can't stand the relationship scenes in Episode II.

This is exactly how I feel about R1.
I liked it more than TFA, especially the final battle (the best in a Star Wars movie since Return of the Jedi).
Not sure what movie this guy was watching? Certainly wasn't the Rogue One that I was watching!

Awesome! Definitely one of the best Star Wars films, especially the last third, which totally breaks new ground for the franchise!
It was really good. And the movie contains the best scene in Star Wars history. It's definitely worth a watch
Could be better than all the main movies. Character development for the team was good enough for me to care. Had humorous moments and sad moments. You knew what was going to happen but it was still suspenseful. Old school Vader redeemed your childhood and you can forget about 'Anakin'.

IT'S ALL OBI WAN'S FAULT
Better than TFA imo.
Vader going full Jason Voorhees was the best part.
Ha Ha, that would be awesome, Cyborg Vader vs Cyborg Jason lol
Better than any of the movies in the sequel trilogy by far. I'd say it's a little better than Revenge of the Sith.
It's mediocre at best.
lmao. its second to ESB. Noway its mediocre
