One Piece by far

One Piece in a landslide.

One Piece so far, but I haven't watched a lot of 7DS yet.

I don't like either much but I guess NNT is less grating on average.

Hard to say, OP has a lot more to judge on.

Infinitely One Piece

OP seems to just float island to island with the goodguys beating up the badguys and moving on. Nnt has a waayyyyy better main character. Mel used to be a stone cold killer, but through a good backstory became our favorite perverted 3000 year old kid. Luffy is the worst HST protagonist tbh. I think NnT has better plot, twist, and innovation IMO as well. OP definitely has a better world build tho. OP possibly has the best HST world build forreals.

As a whole series, One Piece.

@worldofruin6: my issue with onepiece is that nothing ever changes. it actually never did that thing I hate that most jump anime manga do. The whole friendship powers us up garbage that equals automatic win is stupid and lazy.

it's been ten plus years of one piece and the series still follows the same basic formula. travel in boat, meet big bad, luffy fights strongest, zoro fights second strongest (often injured pre fight so creator doesn't have do directly compare his and luffy's power. Sanji fights third strongest, rinse repeat for ten years plus. That's a master piece? to each their own, but to me my favorite anime are the ones that go a bit beyond jump. Full metal brotherhood, cowboy beebop, etc.

Although I will say I am currently really liking my hero academia even though it's a jump anime.

NNT never impressed me, it wasn't bad, but it's just your usual shonen.

Debatable. I personally prefer Seven Deadly Sins.

Better writen characters: Seven Deadly Sins by far.

Better plotting: Probably One Piece.

Better twists and turns: Neither do this excessively or extraordinarily well, One Piece has the Doflamingo thing and Seven Deadly Sins the whole Mael story. I'd say it's a draw.

Better wordbuilding: Definitely One Piece.

More innovative: Both are reasonably unique for a Shonen, but Seven Deadly Sins edges it out.

I don't find usual shonens bad.

This is all true enough, and yeah most jump is just cringy repeats. I do love FMA, but I watched cowboy beebop back in the day and forgot about it over time.
