Simple topic.

List your favorite Golden Age characters that aren't famous characters today and list all you know about them...

For example the Angel, a once popular Marvel (Timely at the time of course) character that apparently wasn't worth remaking during their silver age run like Sub-Mariner and Captain America.

Anyway, you guys get the point... Have at it, and have fun

The reason I ask is because I love Golden Age comics, but only ever felt the need to pay for (TPB's and Reprints, not actual original issues) the characters I know about... Most notably, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Sub-Mariner, and the Human Torch...

So I just want to know of some good new characters I could read.

The Mouthpiece is pretty cool for a Spirit knockoff. He was a DA turned masked vigilante. The first story I read dealt with him taking on a human smuggling ring.

My knowledge on US Golden Age comics is really mainstream tbh (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman pretty much).

My knowledge on this era of Brit comics though is actually above average I'd say.

My favourite Brit character of this era would be Robot Archie, a vainglorious robot who went on adventures (including some time-travel adventures in the 1960s in response to Doctor Who's popularity at the time) with two bickering scientists who never shut up. He basically solved mysteries and acted full of himself all the time, usually bailing the Scientists out of trouble.

The character was brought back in the 1980s by Grant Morrison for Zenith, and again during an Miniseries for Wildstorm called Albion.
