Nyx (Spawn) Respect Thread

Nyx is one of those reoccurring characters who plays a big role in Spawn stories, and for good reason. She is a witch and aligned with the Greenworld faction. The third faction that opposes both Heaven and Hell. Just as Hell is lead by Satan, and Heaven by god, the Greenworld is lead by a confirm sister of the God and Satan known as Gaia. Through Gaia and her teachings, Nyx guides Spawn as best she can for the best outcome of earth itself. Using various spells, and even becoming a Hellspawn herself at times to do it.

Nyx Power

Nyx starts out with no real power, but uses potions and rituals to make bargains for magical effects. Describes magic as a ebb and flow of energy natural tot he world. However there is three main rules to abide.

After Nyx had her power taken away and then return again from Mammon, Nyx discover she no longer needed potions or objects to preform spells.

After being murdered and brought back, Nyx is elevated by the Greenworld to the level of Scion, and can use magic much more effortlessly.

Durability

Nyx is impossibly able to survive 9 days with no food or water straight, and still have the strength to preform a physical intense ritual.

Spawn instills the pain and fear of tortured souls from Hell into Nyx mind. This ability being done before cripple most humans, however Nyx takes it all in and recovers fast.

Nyx brushes off massive magical feedback that blows her off her feet and good distance away from Simmons.

Speed

Nyx reacts and dodges Simmons Spawn necro attack.

Nyx in battle reacts and blasts away a sneak attack by the super speedy Haunt.

Nyx is able to fight off hordes of speedy Angels without getting tagged herself in the War of Heaven and Hell.

Skill

Nyx spent years training in various magical knowledge, particularly the Greenworld, and gain more mystical knowledge along the way with her interactions with Heaven and Hell.

After resurrections, Nyx train even harder in her magical abilities and magical combat.

Telepathy

Nyx can mentally communicate with others across a city.

Nyx is able to communicate with animals and see through their eyes and memories.

Nyx casts a confusion spell on the minds of these special agents.

Nyx casts a confusion spell on soldiers to walk past them.

Nyx able to mind control others into service.

In the right circumstances Nyx can mentally force her way into Spawn's memories. However, in the real world her body is immobile and venerable to harm when putting this much effort against a powerful telepath like Spawn.

Nyx can mentally resist the mental illusions of this specific type of demon. A demon race that even mentally entrapped Spawn with their illusion power.

Deserak stated he can mentally dominate and enslave up to few hundred humans at a single time. Yet his mental abilities could not touch Nyx.

Astral Projection

Spells

Nyx can summon light to her hands, and this fairy light is suppose to be effective on vampires.

Nyx uses ca retrieval spell to locate stolen items no longer there.

Nyx uses a spell to uncloak a invisible house.

Nyx uses a spell attach to a thread of spawn's suit to instantly find him across the city. Spawn however was completely defeated at the time she looked for him and thus "vanished".

Nyx can disable magical barriers, but not ones made by Hell King level beings.

Nyx can bring about snow storms with her magic.

Supernatural Senses

Nyx supernatural senses can see the physical bending of reality with magic being used.

Magical Blasts

Nyx was able to generate enough magical energy to break Spawn's chains.

Nyx magically blasts Haunt away.

Nyx blasts a Angel and cripples him.

Healing

Nyx diagnoses and heals a victim of a demon draining his life force.

Nyx with ritual and prep shows the power to heal even spawn of his undead curse, but only temporary.

Nyx heals Spawn divided from his suit and a combined of her magical power with prepared ritual.

Resurrection

Thanks to her connection to Greenworld, Nyx was able to set up a newly made body in case she dies in her current one, and transfer her soul to it upon death. Takes 7 months for the new body to emerge after her death though.

Teleportation

Nyx creating teleporting portals for herself and others.

Binding

Nyx uses a binding spell to freeze cops into place.

Nyx is able to cast apartment building size binding spells to trap others in or keep others out.

Nyx learns a binding spell so powerful it trapped the Hellspawn Morana and the Hell King Mammon temporarily with thread wrappings.

She Spawn

She Spawn is the outcome where Nyx using a piece of Al Simmons suit, K-7 Leetha, and preforming a deadly ritual can get the power of a Hellspawn. The suit at least. Nyx does this few times to mostly directly affect events in hell or the underworld were no human can survive.

Hellspawn Transformation

To preform this ritual require Nyx alot of effort and prep, and brings Nyx to near death to accomplish it. With a thread of Simmons suit, she is able to transfer some of K-7 Leetha's power to herself and become a living Spawn with soul intact.

In this form its stated she has all strength of a Hellspawn.

Stated again possessing the powers of a Hellspawn.

In the Bomb Queen comics, Nyx is force to become She Spawn again to battle Desarak, a powerful Earth Demon. Using a piece of Simmon's cape this time, preforming the same ritual. This event being shown as canon to Nyx as well.

Strength

She Spawn is stated to have the strength of a Hellspawn.

She Spawn smashes Bomb Queens head against a stone wall, cracking it.

She Spawn rips through the sewers to the road surface with her strength.

Durability

The suit material that makes up She Spawn is stated like living steel in material.

She Spawn is dragged under Lava and is fine.

She Spawn tanks a massive explosive energy bomb to the face from Bomb Queen and is completely unharmed.

She Spawn withstands without being slice part a angry Eddie Redeemer's sword attack, and even slammed with explosive force into a ruin building from the impact.

Speed

Stated to posses all the supernatural Grace of a Hellspawn.

When She Spawn went hand to hand with Bomb Queen, a genetically altered super human with combat skills implanted in her mind, we see as the fight dragged out She Spawn not only started to avoid being hit, but getting her own attacks in thanks to the suit amping Nyx speed and grace.

Suit

She Spawn uses chains to cut and tear the large tentacles of this demon.

She Spawn uses chains to grab and toss Bomb Queen through a window.

She Spawn uses her chains to parry Eddie Redeemer's sword and disarm the Redeemer of the weapon.

Teleport

She Spawn opens a portal to hell.

She Spawn opens a massive portal to the underworld, destroying a whole building in the process.

Spells

She Spawn able to burn others on contact.

Nyx when forcefully taken by the K-7 Leetha suit attempts to use the earth to help her is rejected, but the rejection as shown still cracks the very earth around her solidly from the power.

She Spawn is able to still use her magical abilities, and uses a conjuration spell to locate a lost soul in hell. Though it required utmost concentration.

Telepathy

She Spawn still shows to possess her telepathic abilities. Fending off the demons attempts to mentally subdue her, and mentally dominating the demon in turn.
