New to comics

I was just wondering if someone could help me.
I am new to comics.Actually never read any at all but I am interested in DC universe.
What is good jumping point? I am not interested in any specific superhero so I can read everything there is..I just need to know where to start...

Most everyone will say to start with anything Rebirth forward.

Read DC Universe Rebirth, then just read any book with Rebirth on the header.

For marvel read all new ultimates & dc just start at rebirth and branch off from there.

Like everybody said, just start out with Rebirth.

Rebirth is more of a nostalgia thing. A lot of the writing seems like it is meant for people who are already fans of the characters. I think Post-Crisis is the best starting point. You will also be reading the comics that inspired the stories that turned you into a fan if you go about it that way.

I would recommend picking a few characters and specializing on them. For Batman start with New52, for others there are recommended readings on their pages. These advices usually depend on how rich you are or how much access you have to comics.

Be more specific. It is easier to recommend starting points for different titles then it is to recommend a starting point for a whole.
