Naruto is Dead in new Boruto Manga?

Just read the first chapter, and I am speechless now.

Something might be wrong with Sasuke too, Boruto is welding his sword in the Chapter.

these 2 panels made me facepalm so hard

I'm not going to believe it until I get some context and see a body. People in Naruto have been thought dead before, such Sasuke and Obito, and yet they turned out to be alive.

There's probably some heavy context behind it, how about you just chill out for a bit and not leap to any conclusions?

@great_black_star: Who said he was dead ? Even Kawaki never said Naruto was specifically dead. For all we know he's trying to capture him

It's logical for him to step aside from being a hokage and move into the background picture for now, but I don't want him to die, at least not before I see few more Naruto + Sasuke tag teaming in action.

Kind of a spoiler-thread title if it was/is true. Bad form.

Why? It was literally just the first 30 minutes of the movie.

It was Kawaki's statement that lead to that suspicion. He said he send Boruto to the same place as Seventh and whole Konoha is busted. If Naruto is alive, he will be the one facing Kwaki no Boruto right?

@great_black_star: Look at Boruto and Kawaki they have weird symbols on their body. For all we know Orochimaru is experimenting again. All Kawaki says is I'll send you to where the 7th is that's a pretty ambiguous statement.

Well if its not dead then I don't know why would Kawaki bother to send people there just to return back.

Absense of Both NAruto and Sasuke when whole village got busted and Kawaki's statement strongly point towards their death....... well I could be wrong(well I want it to be wrong).

I am really disappointed now, for ever reading Naruto.

Naruto is still alive, kids who read this manga would be so disappointed if he died. It's like killing off John Cena or something.

Although, what is odd about the first chapter, is Hinata. Her hair looks hilarious and it looks like her breast shrunk.

So, what happened in the first chapter:

Spoilers: That 'naruto is dead and he is fighting some washout punk rocker' is a dream. Boruto wakes up on his bed, and we are introduced to 60 pages of a smug spoiled kid hating his important father for being too caught up in his work to spend time with him.

We are shown the obvious foreshadowing of Technology vs Jutsu in the, blatant new villain in the scientist guy (Who has a name, I just didn't care enough to remember it) that is trying to work over Boruto and obviously holds some resentment towards Ninja and Naruto.

Sarada, funny enough, reminds me more of Naruto then Boruto does, and I feel like she is going to be the character I like the most in this new series. Sasuke comes in at the end, tossing Naruto a scroll neither could read, likely, another villain or perhaps that ebil scientist guy's network.

Boruto then attacks Sasuke and gets tripped.... then asking him (Sasuke) to take Boruto as his disciple.

Chapter end.

I wonder if Salad will be more like Mikasa or another Sakura in the series.

@poeticwarrior: Eh, doubtful. From Boruto wanting Sasuke to teach him so he can beat up his dad (Right?) Would be neat if Miss Salad goes to Naruto to learn from him. Since she seems to want to be the Hokage and yells it loudly and proudly, I hope, just like with Naruto, it is called Boruto but over half of it is just spent on Salad.... and unlike Naruto, I would enjoy that.

@wut: I liked his arcs up until the end where the whole manga was getting sloppy. They had him say he was good, then would say sketchy things to Naruto mid-war. Then he evils out and fights Naruto for pretty much no reason. once he and itachi beat kabuto, sasuke started acting weird

Looks like the Boruto manga will eventually turn into Ninjas Vs Technology.

Sort of like those anime where the age of samurai is always coming to the end and guns, grenades, missiles, etc. are the new power.

this is a monthly manga, so you'll be waiting for at least half a year before they finish the boruto movie part of the manga lol
