My Fancast for the MCU's X-MEN (UPDATED)

So, as many of you know, the X-Men will be a part of the MCU very soon.

Rumor is that Marvel is developing multiple films and Disney+ series for the characters. Here's who I think should play them.

Professor X - Mark Strong

Mark Strong, who is playing the villain Dr. Sivana in DC's "Shazam!" this year, would be perfect for the role of Professor X. He's able to play both protagonists and antagonists - and Professor X often falls into both of those categories. Also, just look at how much the guy looks like Charles Xavier!

Magneto - Jason Isaacs

He plays a GREAT villain. That's all that's needed.

Wolverine - Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood's roles don't usually leave much of an impression on the viewer, but this would be the perfect way to change that. Eastwood certainly looks the part and can do "gritty" pretty well. At 32, he's young enough to play the role for at least 15 years.

Beast - Jack O'Connell

Funny enough, O'Connell starred alongside current Beast actor Nicholas Hoult in the well-known British teen dramedy Skins before making his own unique mark on the film industry. He's definitely tall enough and could play both the witty and gritty aspects of Hank McCoy with ease.

Cyclops - Logan Lerman

Come on, we've all been waiting for this guy to play a superhero for years. Lerman, at 26, could easily portray Cyclops for years to come, as he has the ability to play an awkward outcast as well as a likable hero.

Jean Grey - Saorise Ronan

Ronan is quite young, but she is also an acclaimed actress with several noteworthy names on her resume. Playing a young Jean Grey would be easy for her.

Storm - Kiki Layne

Layne has expressed tons of interest in the role, and is apparently launching a huge campaign to get it. If you ask me, she deserves it. She delivered an Oscar-worthy performance in "If Beale Street Could Talk", and the role of Storm should be a piece of cake.

Iceman - Nick Robinson

Robinson is good at playing an outcast, and an outcast is exactly what Bobby Drake is. He's also only 21, and could easily play the classic teenage Iceman, and play that role for years to come.

Angel - Luke Benward

This role requires very little of an actor; Angel is just a sort of jerky pretty-boy with the ability to heal people. Benward has everything it takes and more.

Colossus - Tyler Hoechlin

Hoechlin has already played a superhero - the Man of Steel himself! Thankfully, since he only makes occasional appearances, his schedule should be perfectly open. He'd be great as the tall, charismatic Russian mutant.

Nightcrawler - Timothee Chalamet

I mean, just look at him! He's perfect for this role! With a little blue makeup, Chalamet could disappear into this role and make it his own.

Rogue - Alexandra Daddario

Daddario is a great actress - but many of the films she appears in are awful. She has the right look and personality for Rogue, and this would be a great chance for her to star in something worth her time.

Gambit - Richard Madden

The 32-year-old actor has range beyond Game of Thrones. He's starred in Netflix's action hit "Bodyguard" as well as the comedy "Ibiza". He looks the part, and has everything it takes to play the "rain' cajun" himself.

Kitty Pryde - Hailee Steinfeld

Steinfeld is basically the Kitty Pryde character come to life. She's young enough, pretty enough and able to play both dramatic and comedic roles.

Alicia Vikander as Psylocke

I can't stress how perfect Alicia Vikander is for this role. I mean, seriously.

Josh Hutcherson as Havok

Hutcherson is about as old as Lerman, and would suit the role of Cyclops' older brother very well.

Lana Condor as Jubilee

Yes, I know she played Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse. But seriously, she was in the movie for like two seconds and deserves another crack at it.

John Boyega as Bishop

Another casting choice that feels perfectly obvious. Boyega was practically born to play this role.

Hayley Kiyoko as Dazzler

I mean, this also feels pretty perfect. She has a whole musical career IRL and has played a superhero-rockstar before.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool

This needs no explanation.

Those are just the basic characters. Feel free to ask who would play anyone else!

Kanye West as Kitty Pryde.

Is Kanye West the new Idris Elba?

@solar_nerd: honestly at this point they should just abstain from using wolverine in the mcu, wait a while until the x-men have been fully established

btw your other choices are great though

@dirtytree333: Maybe you're right. I think maybe the MCU X-Men movies should be prequels to the current state of the MCU, and the present-day X-Men should be introduced in an Avengers vs. X-Men adaptation.

@solar_nerd: i doubt the x-men would be kept under wraps for so long, so maybe after the prequels (if they opted for that) there'd have to be some telepathic drivel where people's minds are wiped of any traces of mutants, or something.

otherwise i just can't see them being in the mcu that long and only being brought to light now

Wow I've never seen a fancast that is so... not to be a jerk I'll just say unconventional.

Outside of Hailee Steinfeld and (duh) Tatum and Reynolds, there's not a single cast I can agree with.

@solar_nerd: Pretty good list. The only problem is that Mark strong is going to be Dr. Sivana in Shazam. But if that movie bombs then he could be Professor X.

Actually, he could be Prof X either way. That movie will likely be successful, but Dr. Sivana likely won't return, as he'd kind of a one-off villain.

@solar_nerd: Mmm, if the movie is a success then he could definitely return in a squeal and help Black Adam with whatever his plan is. But it all comes down to how willing DC and Marvel are to share another actor.

@mister_surreal: True. But funny enough, Zachary Levi played Fandral in the Thor trilogy before he died in Ragnarok.

@solar_nerd: I know, he had about 7 seconds of screen time.

I don't think the body swap would happen, she'd just be a mutant.

Bishop looks too young. Edris Elba could play Bishop.

I'd completely agree if Elba hadn't already played Heimdall and wasn't almost 50 years old.
