Most Unexpected Anime Moments

To all those wise guys out there who thinks they already know what’s gonna happen in an anime, who dies or who doesn’t (etc.)

Which moment in anime surprised you the most? It could be a death of a protagonist or the survival of somebody whose death flag has been waiving. Or the death of somebody with a lot of background?

Death of Wolfwood in Trigun. Never expected him to die. It was a sad death too.

Keijo, I keep thinking I saw it all, and than it does something that makes me laugh out loud.

Frieza coming back new and improved in DBS.

I didn’t expect L to die.

Fullmetal Alchemist having the balls to kill off a sweet little girl and a cute dog in it's first few episodes.

Assassin of Red surviving Saber of Red’s attack.

Was kinda sure They portrayed Assassin as a typical villain, dand I knew Saber and her master were gonna pull off a bullshit PIS attack.

Didn’t expect Assassin to survive tho’

Naruto not becoming the strongest being in existence by the end.

This, the biggest shocker for me was after he did that, she still cared enough about her father to plead with Ed to stop beating on him. That really got to me. Then you find out way later on that her death was for nothing because the government had perfected the science of making chimeras already. Hughes' death I feel could be added as well but tbh I expected it, just not so quickly. Figured the guy would last a bit longer than he did.

Also Naruto using Kyuubi chakra for the first time and becoming that bloodlusted was unexpected. His "I'm gonna kill you!" line changed the tone pretty quickly and caught me off guard. I know shonen have a lot of moments like this but for some reason I feel that one was done really well and it stuck with me.

Luffy becoming a Yonko baby with a bounty of 1,500,000,000 yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
