Most powerful Green Lantern ever..(maybe Alan Scott I am guessing)

Optimus Prime (G1 cartoon and comics)

How powerful would each of these character be with a GL Ring?

Power levels.. which is the most powerful character they can defeat?

Man of you people said Captain America soo I am adding him up here.

His willpower is like around Supes but not as high as Primes, Dooms or Lucifer's though.

Why'd you put Lucifer on the list? He is the will to Michael's power.

Captain America is high up there. As is Batman. Spider-Man is very tenacious as well. But my vote goes to one man:

Black Bolt.

Think about it, the man can sustain a beating and he cannot utter a single sound for fear of unleashing great destruction. Has to go his whole life without speaking or making a sound. That, is serious willpower.

Why Lucifer? Arrogance, stubbornness, and holding on to hatred because you feel someone wronged you isn't willpower.

Scan 1: Hal Jordan says that Barry Allen couldn't even imagine the willpower it takes to use the ring.

Scan 2: Barry Allen used the ring in under a minute and he said his feels like he went 12 rounds with Grodd.

Not even Batman can use a Green Lantern ring.

Superheros "going against the odds" and "refusing to give up" doesn't make them GL level willpower. It takes LOTS and LOTS of willpower:

Not sure why so many people seem to not understand the difference between not wanting to and not being able to. Batman clearly says that he does not want to, not that he isn't capable of wielding the ring.

It is not stated, nor is it implied, that he doesn't have the willpower to face his parents.

However, it is implied that he doesn't want to put "that horrible night" behind him because that night is what gives him the conviction to be The Bat.

Long story short: what we can take away from that scan (the only thing) is that Bruce wants to be Batman and not a Green Lantern. (And also that DC will never let Batman be a GL for any extended period of time.)

@omnicrono: you can see him sweating, struggling, yelling, and almost crying, he is obviously not GL material.

After rethinking this, based on feats and character history Sinestro is the clear winner. Someone already posted Hal talking about what will it takes jut to use a GL ring....Sinestro has broken them before

i just remembered. lucifer loses to any of these guys.

It's either Hal Jordan or Batman imo, Flip a coin to decide who's first or 2nd. Honorable mention to guys like Cap America and Sinestro.

And anyone who thinks that scan with Hal and Bruce is anything more than DC trying to give a reason why Batman wasn't quickly chosen as the 2nd earth lantern like YEARS ago are delusional imo. Fans have wondered about that for a long time and they tried to give an in canon reason that wasn't "We need Batman to be Batman because he sells alot more, we know it doesn't make sense."

I really appreciate that scan because it makes both character look great, Hal gets to prove that controlling the ring is hard against DC's top dog/ mainstream king which gives him more cred and Batman gets to show that he CAN use the ring but prefers to be the Bat because of personal, emotional reasons which shows his own determination.

Let's just put it this way; giving Lucifer a Green Lantern Ring is utterly redundant because as long as he has matter to work with, he can already create whatever he pleases.

Second, I would say Hal. He is very impressive with the ring, and people like Batman was in pain when using it and GA could barely shoot an arrow. I consider those people to have a lot of will.
