So what is the most money you've ever spent on a comic book or graphic novel?
Most money you've ever spent on a comic/graphic novel?
I'm a cheapo, but I remember spending $10+ on a single classic issue of Superman. I normally spend $20+, but only on full/half volumes.
$100 for the Complete Calvin and Hobbes, hardback edition a few years ago. The most I've paid for a graphic novel at this point is $18. I refuse to spend more than $20, and refuse to pay high prices for something just because its out of print. I don't like being taken advantage of and will just buy the book digitally for a fairer price instead.
25 bucks on all the Daredevil omnibus's.
If omnibus's don't count then I have to say All Star Superman. It was $20
@gordyman: oh that's what I usually do, I'm just curious to how much other people spend.

I've never read a trade before, but it'll surprise you how much stuff you can find at your local library.
For graphic novels I try not to go over $20. But I'm thinking of buying the complete Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender when it comes out. It's $70 but I think it will be worth it since it has every issue in it.
As for a single comic, I paid $14 on Swamp Thing issue 10 from 1972 a few weeks ago. It's also my most prized possession as far as comics go.
@cf12793: was it worth it?
@jokerpoker: Yeah, they were definitely fun reads. Can't find them now though.
@jaken7: wow. Definitely see why.

Yup. Cost 1/3 of my paycheck, but totally worth it.
Just broke my record by quite a large margin for a single comic. $170.50 + shipping. Still amazingly satisfied.
$45 on the Power Girl vol. 4 trade (it's gotten rare).
Next time my local comic book shop does a 50% sale, I'm planning to get the Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Omnibus for $75 instead of the $150 list price.
35 bucks. I love comics but i dont seem myself spending much more, especially considering the fact that every comic book storyline comes in volumes nowadays. I mean i love old comics but i really dont mind buying the reprints, which is why i love those giant collection books of old comics, Like Marvels essentials and DC Showcases.
