Understanding that complex means:

-"composed of many interconnected parts; compound; composite"

-"characterized by a very complicated or involved arrangement of parts, units, etc"

-"so complicated or intricate as to be hard to understand or deal with"

Which are the most complex comics you ever read?

@thenaughtytitan: I've read several amazing comics but none seemed complex (so complicated or intricate as to be hard to understand or deal with).

What do you mean by complex? Do you mean interesting and requires a certain level of maturity to understand, or just one that give you a thousand plot points and characters?

Actually if you have an answer for both of your definitions it would be great.

Anything Grant Morrison writes. It's just really hard to keep track of what's happening...

Especially Final Crisis. Like what even? I still don't even know what happened...I just go with it and assume something big happened and Batman died.

Lol, a dozen or so responses and not a single non-Grant Morrison answer yet.

Not that I didn´t understand it, but the most complex comic I have read would probably be Hickman´s Fantastic Four.

Bendis' All New and Uncanny X-Men.

Oh, sorry. Thought you meant attempts at complexity. Never mind, then. Carry on. All things Grant Morrison, etc, etc.

@jackal9901: It requires a decent knowledge of the DCU, and maybe some rereading, but it's fantastic.

Does confusing count as complex? Because I still don't get how the hell Batman came back from the dead after like... idk going through time or whatever.

But no TBH I haven't found many really complex comics. Kids are no longer 100% of the target audience of comics, but the large majority of comics are still written on their level.
It doesn't count as a comic, but the most complex sci-fi/fantasy fiction I ever read was Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. It's a HP fanfiction that's longer than most of the actual books and more skillfully written than most published fiction works. Holy beautiful HELL did that story get complex. It was glorious.
