Poll More popular Wolverine or Aquaman (43 votes)
Who ?
Wolverine. Although i guess its ironic when Aquaman made a billion and Wolverines films barely scratch 1/3 if that. Then again Transformers movies made a billion.
Come on, Wolverine.
Aquaman's been seen as a joke for multiple decades by the general audience until recent years
As of right now, Aquaman is probably the most popular superhero. Wolverine is more popular in all-time.
Wolverine, no contest.
There's even a term Wolverine Publicity on TvTropes.
Aquaman movie really tells
lol
Aquaman movie really tells

@mrmonster: Doubt it wolverine was always in top 10
Google top ten superheroes first ten list will have wolverine within number 5,6,7
He is the most popular x men member that's says something
I believe that if you looked at the public's response to Aquaman's various media (comics, cartoons, live-action TV appearances, movies, toys, etc...) since 1941's More Fun Comics #73 and compared it to Wolverine's media since 1974's Incredible Hulk #180 even though Arthur has 30+ years on Logan, Wolverine has been more popular since his creation. For the most part, I don't think writers really knew what to do with Aquaman for the first half of his comic career. Wolverine is easy...he's got knives on his fists.
Wolverine, no contest.

I don't know man, he was just the star of a 1.1 dollar movie. If DC capitalizes on his success, they could make him an A list superhero.
Aquaman movie grossed 1.1 billion and Wolverine barely crossed 400 million. Its very simple.
Aquaman grossed 1.1 billion while BvS grossed over 200 million less than that. So Aquaman is more popular than Batman and Superman put together, no?
Don't try to think too much. It's not your style.
@morpheus_: IDC mate. 400 million is trash.

Sure, but how is that necessarily relevant to their respective popularity? Why is Aquaman, whose film was textbook MCU, a more popular character strictly on the basis of box office success? Logan is a better film than Aquaman could ever be but it did not even gross a third of the latter's earnings - criteria differ depending on perspective, but you cannot exclude quality among them.
What is really impossible to say is that Aquaman's film grossed more, so the character is de facto more popular than one of the most popular characters in both major companies. Because, following that line of thinking, he is also more popular than the two most famous and popular characters within DC.
Wolverine is considerably more marketable... his solo series' are routinely within the top 10 sales of the month and in the 90s the only books that consistently sold more than his were the X-men series that he was also apart of (occasionally Spawn or Superman would creep up there)
and in the early 2000s Wolverine would again consistently make top 5-10 in units sold usually only beaten by other Team books
