More likeable character? Rey or MCU Carol Danvers

Danvers was cool in EG, but a bore in her own movie.

I found Captain Marvel to be very standoff-ish in Endgame despite her rather small role in comparison to the original Avengers roster. Especially with the hologram meeting and final battle scenes.

Hate her or not, at least Rey's character plays a center role of the Star Wars sequels movies. Captain Marvel's a minor character turned deus ex machina in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry but Rey is a very likeable person.

She's portrayed very well by Daisy Ridley. It's her powers that are a matter of concern for most people.

Both are kinda bland.

Rey is actually very likeable and funny. In the first half of The Force Awakens she's quite charming.

Daisy Ridley makes Rey extremely likable. She has a very charismatic personality. If you were reading Rey instead of watching her, she would not have that same charm.

Rey herself is actually very likable. Most of the issues people have with her, don't have anything to do with her character anyway. Carol on the other hand could be very annoying at times.

CM is a smug asshole. Rey is a quirky Mary Sue. I don't mind the latter as much as the former.

Honestly, Rey is great. I agree she tends to be too perfect at most things but in terms of personality, she is charming, fiercely loyal, courageous and slightly self-deprecating in an endearing way.

So she's more or less the polar opposite of Manvers.

Rey is likeable and I can't help but root for her. Carol is either too smug or just....boring .

I would say Rey, carol has only had one full movie, there is still time for them to improve on her character

Daisy Ridley does a great job with Rey, all of my problems with Rey come from story telling that seems kinda forced around her. As a character though, I think she's pretty well done.

Captain Marvel is way too smug and cocky. I really wished Thanos would have given her the beating of a lifetime, but Kevin Fiege and the Russos had to make her super powerful for some reason.

I really wished Superman was permanently killed of in DCEU, but the over powered Mary Sue single handedly destroyed JL movie and DCEU.

This. Daisy really does a great job; it's the storytelling and script that sucks.

Capt Marvel is just a token hooray I'm a strong women. Rey is an overpowered Mary Sue but is pretty likable.

Rey is decently likeable. Although some of the writing around her can be bad. However, Captain Marvel just doesn’t come across as very interesting

There are many problems with Rey's character (which aren't the biggest problems of the movies), and how she's presented in the writing can be annoying if not problematic, but (mostly due to Daisy Ridley) in spite of the character itself you still end up liking her. I guess it can be explained as just one of Rey's many talents/powers that she just has. But honestly Daisy should be commended on making me care as much as I do about a character when the writers/director are actively trying to make it as hard as possible.

Carol has several of the same flaws, the character is presented as a checklist with traits to be marked off (often featuring misguided ones). And they spent even less time on interest, character, or development (so just forget about interesting character development). And unfortunately Bree doesn't add any of the endearing qualities Daisy does.

Rey as a person is not a problem, she just suffers from bad writing and agenda pushing.

Carol is just a very unlikable person. She is arrogant, pushy, self centered, and was never once in any actual danger in either movie because she was so overpowered.

Rey as a person is quite likeable. The story just makes her look bad. Carol on the other hand seems to have a superiority complex of some sort. She seems to disregard the problems of the planet in favour of roaming space.
