More iconic John Williams theme song: Imperial March (Darth Vader's theme) or the 1978 Superman theme?

Imperial March has more views but I can imagine people associating the Superman theme with Superman easier than Imperial March with Vader.

Both are top 10 iconic, up there with the main Star Wars theme.

Williams was God tier

Imperial March is way more recognizable to the general public.

@heroesgold: Superman's theme is nowhere close to as memorable or recognizable as Vader's theme. Vader's theme comes up in people's minds whenever they see the character. Not so for Superman.

Vader's theme. It's one of the first things that come to mind when you see him, and it's basically been used throughout the character's entire history.

I think more people know Superman, especially the 78 film, so his theme is probably more iconic.

Imperial March is more iconic, Superman's theme is better.

superman. honestly, i don't think imperial march is anything special.

I like both, but IMO Imperial March is more iconic by a mile. Even people who haven't seen Star Wars recognise the theme.

"Iconic" as in, more popular? The Imperial March is more popular. Maybe the Superman theme was more popular back then, but three John Williams pieces more famous than the Superman theme. His three most famous pieces are the Star Wars theme, Imperial March, and the Indiana Jones theme.
