kyle and john can open some portal that holds their power battery but i think thats it.

I see what you are saying about the ring be overall more useful, but don't forget anyone who wield Mjolnir also gains ALL of Thors powers so I have to go with Mjolnir.
but logic says Mjolinir, only because is gives you the powers of a God...
of course, if i had the choice i'd go for the ring though. it's far more versatile and has a lot more applications than Mjolinor.

In theory it could...
a black hole is formed from a collapsing star due to a degradation of Hydrogen in the heart of it... a GL could easily accomplish this, if it had sufficient will / imagination behind it.
Teleporting to other dimensions - yup, it can move objects to pocket dimensions, whether this is limited to object and not people is unknown... we do know that inside the power battery is a separate dimension on itself, so i'm saying yes.
As far as raw power and durability, Mjolnir. It doesn't run out of juice and have to recharge and the damn thing has god level powers.
As far as whose weapon is more useful, the ring. It does a lot of different things and can make constructs to assist a person in many different uses, from get this to get that, to very intricate surgeries require a lot of focus and toools to get the job done.
Owing the Ring would be like owning a new fancy phone without batterry charge, you will have great fun for one day with you shiny new Cell Phone then after one day you're left with something dead
The Hammer it doesn't run out of juice
Mjolnir's only major problem is its worthiness factor, and its a problem if you aren't a true viking fighter then you will never lift the hammer in the first place

I assume the battery comes with the ring. Otherwise this is a stupid thread.

i think we can assume that you are worthy to lift and wield mjolnir and that the ring has a power battery
it depends on the will power of the ring user, since the ring is powered by will power then if the persons will is strong enough it has potential to be more powerful but with the average lantern id say mjolnir is stronger
@Red_Blade: without the will to use it the ring might as well come out of a cracker jack box tho to be fair if one isnt deemed worthy by mjolnir is pretty much a paper weight
With Mjolnir if you're worthy you get Thor's power. With the ring it's only as powerful as your will. If I had to go into battle immediately, I'd choosr Mjolnir.

I would like the power ring for convience and subtlety. Not to mention you can design your own costume as long as you have the lantern symbol. Mjolnir gives you more power, but i'm not really planning to take on anyone and I'll probably only use it as a recreational tool. Maybe save people if they need saving if I happen to stumble upon them, but i'm not going to go out of my way to look for people that need saving (didn't say that you need to take the responsibily of the said item).
The Mjonlir is more powerful, The Mjonlir can turn you into a god, give you powers, it can abosrb energy, it can be launched at 3x faster than light speed, it was so powerful it hurt the mighty Galactus, it can also create an extremley powerful Godblast, a godblast has hurt Galactus, ended a war etc, the godblast is the most powerful thing the Mjolnir can do, the Mjolnir can also create and summon lightning from the sky, if i had to i would choose the Mjonlir, BUT, not anyone can wield it, you have to have courage and bravery, only those who are worthy can wield it, but i pick the Mjolnir
@jasraj: the godblast doesnt come from mjolnir, it comes from thor's own immortal lifeforce, he just merges his power with the hammer and channels it through it, he has godblasted desak the destroyer i think atleast thats who it was but he didnt use mjolnir

I would choose the ring. Far lighter than Mjolnir even if your worthy enough to lift it, easier to carry around, and with enough willpower/imagination, can be come more powerful than Mjolnir itself.
the ring is cool but severely limited by power source and will.. i doubt anyone would have sufficient will to do anything on a global scale. the only reason i would want a power ring is to alter my DNA give myself a Kryptonian/Daxamite physical amp without the weaknesses but in order to do that i need to scan them.. another thing i would use it for is to prolong if not make myself immortal...
I dont find the ring in itself superior to Thor's Hammer..
Mjolnir just by grabbing it confers immortality and various physical amps plus the innate power of Mjolnir and it doesnt run out of power and it has a vast input and power output..
i am assuming i would be the only superhuman on the planet which makes the scanning and altering my DNA unlikely..
