MCU Thor resisted the power of a star in Ragnarok

When Thor rampaged in the Realm of Fire, he challenged the sons of Muspell and relieved the demon king Surtur of his head. But Surtur was bereft of his Eternal Flame, his original source of strength, so from where did he derive the power he wielded against Thor?

Thusly does Surtur, lord of Muspelheim, lord over the power of Muspelheim's star, and fire it through his Twilight sword. The frothing blast of starflame is a true expression of the power of Surtur!

And it is Thor who endures the fire, holding it off by whirling hallowed Mjolnir!

They draw power from a star… so after he blocks this star level attack Muspelheim becomes devoid of creatures since this would use all the star’s energy right? Point being, you have no idea how much of the star’s energy he uses. Superman gets energy from the sun he is now star level. Same poorly constructed concept.

It’s the same with the Nedavillir feat. You have no idea how much he’s tanking, he isn’t even taking the full beam since it still accomplishes its task of melting Uru.
