Atomizing the stones should be well above Big Bang level imo since they actually were the ones to take the Big Bang at ground zero and the impact sent them hurtling across the virgin universe or whatever. I'm interpreting it as a durability feat since it says cosmic energy

Thinking about it, this seems legit. It is an outlier though. Even then, it should go into the weighted average of his durability which should bring it up a level.

This is just a novel inspired on movie, it is not even a canon. Being inspired on sth, doesn't make something immediately a canon not even this variant timeline thing.

MCU often exaggerates Energy Durability feats, that's why there is a huge gap between Piercing Durability and Energy Durability of the characters.
