MCU or EMH: The Better Ultron

Tough one: But i,m going with MCU Ultron as i actually found him to be way more entertaining..Even though Emh was scarier and more threatening.

EMH IS THIS A JOKE?

EMH BY FAR!

EMH was much better in his first showing. Subsequent showings of his really soured the character to me though. Making a robot wife? Really? That's stupid, he's stupid.

That being said, the only good parts of MCU Ultron is his voice, and his very first introductory scene where he actually seems fairly terrifying. Then they ruin him by making him look like a joke.

MCU Ultron was terrifying were we watching the same movie.

EMH Ultron was scarier.

Ultron has tried to make a wife in the comics lol.

I prefer EMH Ultron.

I think they tried to humanize him too much in the MCU. EMH really captured the calculating superintelligence and malevolent determination that makes Ultron one of the Avengers' most dangerous adversaries. MCU also dispensed with his Pym heritage (in fact, Pym has no association with the MCU Avengers) which EMH embraced and told well, and killed him off in his first appearance whereas EMH kept him alive and evolving, a constant sword of Damocles hanging over the Avengers (which is a metaphor that connects him with the other great Avengers villain in the show, Kang, whose flagship was called the Damocles), as in the comics, where Ultron becomes a lingering source of existential dread even when absent.

I liked the EMH Ultron better.

MCU Ultron could have been a real, calculating, scary, threatening villain but he never was at least EMH Ultron started out impressive.

EMH was more threatening/formidable. MCU was sympathetic and and entertaining in his own way. He could be scary at times but not in the way one expects from Ultron.

In the end EMH was better

The perfect mcu Utron wold have been a hybrid combining the best of the both of them.

@Shintakie: the robot wife is taken directly from the comics because just as the movie version is a corrupted Stark, the comic/EMH version is a corrupted Hank Pym. He has all of Hank's desires, intellect and vices without any of the redeeming/balancing qualities.

The one that actually felt like an adaption of Ultron.

EMH for me. I loved the speech he gave more than anything MCU Ultron ever did or said.

EMH Stomps. He was awesome and actually quite close to the source material (man, that show was good). MCU Ultron was an annoying joke of a villain.

Whoa. I mean, I expected EMH to win, as he was definitely the better Ultron for several reasons, but it is extremely rare on this website that 37 people agree.

MCU Ultron had good voice acting and character design, but that was it. I was wondering when he was going to slip on a banana peel or be the subject of a dick joke. Awful villain.
