Not really, they're different universes. Plus, a world class assassin wouldn't bother with Frank anyway.

They are basically neglecting each other completely, or the movies are neglecting the series rather. It is very few things that tie them together. AoS, MCU movies and Netflix could just as well be 3 completely different universes.

They are making a proper MCU movie of the Punisher with the same actor reportedly so we will see if they cross over there.

Maybe he was snapped considering we never see him anywhere when the snap happens, lol

Would make sense considering there was a need for a guy like Ronin around despite the fact that Frank would have had most of that covered

Likely the same thing that denies the existence of AoS

@ourmanuel: I’m pretty sure AoS ignored the snap, so that’s actually a pretty massive contradiction, but all the Netflix shows are set before IW, IIRC

Kevin Feige has literally gone on record and confirmed they're canon

Feige just says that to keep the interest in all the properties, you can pretend they are canon but at the end they really aren't because they never interact, especially after Infinity War and Endgame.

The fact is they've never been referenced, included or even taken into account in the movies, on top of that Endgame completely changed the landscape, there is no way we'll see the Netflix heroes or AOS dealing with the 5 year desolated world, prior to that I did consider Netfix canon and it was cool to imagine these heroes dealing with their own stuff within that Avengers world, but that is not possible anymore.

I'd be gladly surprised if we see that though.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. said they'd address the snap sometime in Season 7, the lack of references could easily be justified with the alternate dimension time travel that was explored in Endgame.

As for the Netflix shows, the lack of references don't change the fact they're in the same universe. They'd have no reason to meet the Avengers since they're street level heroes. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had no connections to the greater MCU, were they "uncanon" before Infinity War then? Of course not, the same thing applies to the Netflix shows unless Feige or Marvel explicitly decanonize them. But until then I don't see any good reasons to disregard them from canon when the plots of Daredevil and Jessica Jones were tied into the events of the first Avengers movie.

They've had countless opportunities for the characters to cross over, but they chose not to. Stark tower does not exist in the netflix world and the events of the movies, such as the snap, has no consequences in netflix verse.

@thesuperor: Them not crossing over doesn't really deny each other's existence, there could be numerous other reasons why a crossover can't happen between them. The Neflix-verse referenced the MCU countless times, here's an example. Even the movies referenced the shows once, with Metro General hospital.

What makes you say Stark Tower doesn't exist in the Netflix-verse?

I'm pretty sure all the Netflix shows were set before IW.

They have panned over NYC countless times in the series and Stark Tower is nowhere to be seen, it's only the real life building.

I'm pretty sure all the Netflix shows were set before IW.

Season 3 should chronologically be set at the time just before the snap, but the course of the season should carry it on beyond the snap. I remember the Loeb, the Marvel TV boss said that the show would have to take place before the snap because it's easier to maintain continuity, whether or not it should take place before the snap chronologically.

I also know a lot of the actors, especially Chloe Bennet, is displeased with Marvel calling it a shared universe as she feels the shows are being completely ignored.

There is basically nothing to connect them apart from a couple throw away lines.

@bladeoffury: Also worth noting that the people in the netflix series live their lives as if the events of the movies never happened. They seem to have no grasp of what superhumans are, and they think a dude with bulletproof skin is unbelievable. They should be a bit more open minded after seeing the Avengers and an army of aliens attacking the city.

@thesuperor: I see, thanks. I don't think it matters for our purposes anyway though, as the intention differs between between the movies and shows either way.
