Poll: MCU Guardians of the Galaxy or CW Legends of Tomorrow: Which team is funnier? (60 votes)

Guardians of the Galaxy 63%
Legends of Tomorrow 37%

Something I've been curious about for a while now.

Two teams of losers and misfits, with the difference being one adventures through space and the other through time, not to mention the difference in mediums between movies and TV alone. Both have genuine drama but are still more known for being more comedical than the other shows/movies in their shared universe.

On average, which team and their adventures and interactions do you personally find to be funnier? The MCU Guardians of the Galaxy or the CW DC Legends of Tomorrow?

Legends' humor feels more natural. At least compared to GoTG 2.

The Guardians in a stomp. Chris Pratt is hilarious.

Guardians has funnier moments but Legends is on more frequently so they have more chance to be funny. So it's quality vs quantity and Guardians have the funniest moments for me.

Guardians for me. Chris Pratt and Batista are all that is needed.

I prefer the Legends' humor personally, but they're both hilarious. They've both got really funny writers, and perhaps even more importantly great chemistry between the actors.

I definitely agree that's the most important part. Mainly because, while more are primarily comedies, GOTG and LOT have great drama and character moments between the casts. Heck, my favorite scene in GOTG 2 had nothing to do with comedy. It was just Mantis touching Drax to use her powers and starting to cry. And Sara, Ray, and Mick are my favorite Legends simply because of the great interactions they have with everyone else, both comedic and serious.

I lean more towards the Legends because I don’t find the GOTG humor all that great in their own movies, but I’ll admit Drax was hilarious in Infinity War. And Star-Lord had the funniest line in the entire movie: “What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus?”

Voted for Guardians thinking "GotG1" but then I remembered "GotG2" and I'm not as confident anymore. I guess that's still a bigger achievement than Legends that I quit watching after the first episode...

Guardians by far. Legends is just frustrating to no end. Dumbing down anything for a forced joke. Except for maybe Heathwaves deadpan none of them come of as remotely genuine.

Can't say that I find either of them that funny really but at least the Legends are usually more tolerable.

GotG for me. GotG vol. 2 and Infinity War are perfect examples of how the Guardians can just crack you up.

The dance off, poop jokes, and watered down toilet humor of the MCU makes the movies unwatchable for me

GOTG is trash

Legends. But Pratt in Infinity War had me laughing out loud with Thor.

Legends. Guardians were funny and great in the first film. Second film they weren't funny and Avengers 2 made them come off as a really incompetent team who in no way stack up to the Avengers.

@stormshadow_x: It was Quill's plan that was successful.

And guardians were vital in beating Thanos..

Is a different story how Quill messed that up.

Their mia managed and comedic vibe is always there. Prime example in the GOTG vol. 2 first fight.

GTOG have more forced humour but the same time their humour at its peak is funnier that The Legends If you ask me. On average, I would have to give it to The Legends.

Legends. They've had about 10x more screen time and you can really tell that the writers have ironed out each voice and the team's chemistry overall for about the last two seasons.

Legends, and it's not that close to me. Besides a few solid lines, I generally didn't find the Guardians that funny, just quirky.

Meanwhile the Legends are almost always hilarious to me. The way they interact(especially Rori's reactions) is just perfect.

Now Season 4 legends and dc puppets or fairy godmother trumphs in sense of humour currently

I only like Drax and Rocket in Gotg , and for legends they are all great but their comedy feels forced at times.

Legends. Weird that GOTG are much funnier in the crossover film than their own two films....maybe cause they need a straight man to react to their silliness..

Avatar image for the_stegman

@mickey-mouse: I think that's it. Problem with GOTG is ALL of them are so wacky, it becomes too much, but having Tony react to them straight was hilarious.
