Marvel's Generation Event Explained

Basically it's a 10 part crossover between classic characters with younger/current holders of that mantle. Here is the list of the 10 pairings and who will be writing each story:

• Iron Man (Tony Stark and Riri Williams) – written by Brian Michael Bendis
• Spider-Man (Peter Parker and Miles Morales) – Brian Michael Bendis
• Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan) – G. Willow Wilson
• Thor (Odinson and Jane Foster) – Jason Aaron
• Hawkeye (Clint Barton and Kate Bishop) – Kelly Thompson
• Hulk (Bruce Banner and Amadeus Cho) – Greg Pak
• Jean Grey (young and older) – Dennis Hopeless
• Wolverine (Logan and X23) – Tom Taylor
• Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell and Carol Danvers) – Margie Stohl
• Captain America (Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson) – Nick Spencer

Oh and Alonso promises they have an 'ingenious way' of bringing those who are dead on the list back to life.

Dammit, Bendis on Spider-Man? The guy can't write a decent, coherent story anymore.

Onlly one I'd like to check out is Hulk and Wolverine.

The rest is utter crap (the writers), at least to me.

I don't know. Bendis to me is still better than Slott and he can write a good Peter Parker if he's not trying to kill him off. His recent work is certainly a low point but on certain individual books he can do a good job like he's currently doing in Infamous Iron Man (coolest book).

As for me, I am stoked that Original Jean is gonna come back. Finally a reason to read X-Men again!

Hard pass; it's most likely just gonna be the old characters wacking off the new ones, telling the audience that we should love them too.

I'm not accepting any of Marvel's sugarcoated turds. Last good book I read from them was Vision. Until some staff members leave and they get a massive rehaul and retcon I'm not going anywhere near their books.

most marvel heroes weren't meant to be legacy characters (Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man and Thor) since their mythos consisted of them being unique and just regular people who work alone.

How I feel about Marvel....

"Whacking", but yeah, pretty much what I'm expecting... and then they'll resort to attacking and berating fans when this little stunt doesn't work either.

So basically they're all meeting their PC counterparts and the PC versions are gonna be shown to be better than the originals...

the only 2 im even considering are

Mar-vell and Wolverine...

Mar-vell because i miss him and hes an outstanding character. Literally one of the best.

and Wolverine has been dead for far too long anyways

but given how Marvel has been screwing me lately i might not get any of them

it's sad when we actually have to warn someone that a specific writer is writing... like i'll still give Jeph Loeb stories a read because he's, at least, a hit or miss writer. Bendis is an immediate do not buy
