I'm not gonna let my bias get in the way with this.
Hulk's design is literally a Frankenstein's Monster and Mr. Hyde ripoff. As in, that was the influence for it. He totally became his own thing; but if I were to tell you to combine those two concepts and draw them out you'd see the Hulk everytime. It's very basic and there's not a lot of originality added to the concepts it came from.
I'm not saying the Hulk is a bad design. Definitely a "less is more" approach that works very well. But Batman takes this on originality AND comparably as aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks for reading,
@floopay: Are you seriously arguing Batman's originality? I'm not trying to get into anything or derail this thread but that is funny.
Batman's very original. Blue/Grey/Yellow suit was very new at the time. Plus the idea of combining a Sherlock Holmes character into a world of super powered creatures and fighting vigilantes was a pretty original concept, especially in the comic book form in America.
Worldwide that stuff wasn't super original; but yeah, he was super original. There's a reason he became a recurring character in his original series.

@floopay: Like I said I'm not derailing the thread. See the Black Bat, The Shadow, and Zorro. If Hulk is unoriginal as Hyde/Frankenstein rip off than so is Batman. Don't worry I know there is no arguing on this topic and again I won't keep derailing the thread I just thought it was too funny of a comment.
Thanks for reading.
