In the latest adherence by Disney to their legacy-desecrating screed of “no one’s ever really gone,” Marvel Studios has signed a new deal to license the likeness of Stan Lee, the terms of which allow for the company to use his image however they see fit – including the possible use of CGI to revive the iconic comic book creator for future MCU appearances.
Marvel will use a CGI Stan Lee
Wait. A company own Stan Lee's figure and they sold him to Marvel Studios? The guy is at rest and they still make money off him?
I think unless someone has specified their likeness could be used, it should not be.
Specifically, I’m talking about holograms/high-CGI, etc.
There’s just something weird about it to me, I’m not sure. An actor portrayal? Sure, cartoons? Ok, I guess.
I would have to think more about this to have a more well formed opinion. Until then, my current opinion should be regarded as under-developed.
Well. . . As weird as it is, I don't think the guy would be mad.
It is Stan Lee. The man loved attention. He would have approved.
This just weird.

IIRC there was a point where they was using his twitter to promote NFT's.
This isn't like MJ singing a concert post mortem.. they will use Hologram Stan to "support" what ever direction that Disney takes Marvel..kind of disturbing
It’s ob that they are just going to use his image in the movie opening title screen and stuff like that. They aren’t using a cgi stan lee. They would not even recast black panther.

It's something of a trend. Even some of the current living actors are being scanned and stored for later use. Once it becomes an industry standard, actors are screwed.
Kind of ironic though, isn't it???
He crated the system of creators ideas just becoming "the company's ideas".
So it would be funny if Stan's likeness just became Marvel's property.
