There are going to be several tiers and we can discuss who should be placed in what tier

Taskmaster needs to be around about the top, perhaps a high tier Master?
I'd actually put Chameleon as a low tier Professional tbh
Deadpool could maybe be mid Expert.
I also agree with the rankings for Iron Fist and Moon Knight.

Wolverine, Iron Fist, Daredevil and Shang-Chi should probably be in high-master. Probably Taskmaster, Gamora and Mantis as well but I'm not as knowledgeable on them.
If this were DC, Grandmaster would be somebody like Sensei, but I can't think of an equivalent in Marvel.

What about Stick?
@the_magister: when did she say that? It sounds epic.

I don't think Stick is there unarmed.
In terms of Grandmaster......maybe Prince of Orphans? Unlike DC, there's not really a skilled person above the top tiers (like Sensei for example)
Thor should be high Elite through, Champion mid Master. They both have the advantage of having tons of experience on their side

Mysterio is a grandmaster tier right?
@blackspidey2099: Naturally, he tanked hits from Daredevil. That makes him Grandmaster+ in my book.

Stick is one of those characters that has very good statements regarding skills but too few feats to properly rank him. Master Izo, Lei Kung, Lord Ogun are examples as well.
I feel like Karnak should be Master tier, but idk if I'd put him mid or high master, a case can be made for low too

It does sound badass. I'm drawing a blank though. It must be a S1 quote. Sounds like something she'd say while hacking.

I've seen scans of Stick fighting Venom but I don't know where they're from. Just throwing it out there.
@rogueshadow: That was an alternate universe Venom.
Featless?
@rogueshadow: It was an alternate reality Venom that killed the Spider-Man of his universe. It's from Al Ewing's Contest of Champions series.
This is probably a little more convoluted than it should be. I'd say Marvel's class 1-7 rankings with an additional class 8 rank would work better. And I'm inherently opposed to people like Gamora/Moondragon/Mantis etc. being in such lists, their true skill feats against fighters than know what they're doing are either few or nonexistent.

Those tiers always seemed so generic, they never seemed to really mean anything to me. You could have characters that were world's apart in skill in one level with no real distinction between them provided.
@rogueshadow: They have provided definitions for each rank, which I find more easy to grasp and quantify opposed to the rankings of this thread. Basically, class 4 is that of an expert combatant, 5 for masters of a single martial art, 6 for those that have mastered multiple disciplines, and 7 for any character that is a master of virtually all forms of combat.
The problem lies in the fact that they never ranked their characters properly, and occasionally they went against their own definitions. Having T'Challa and Daredevil at 5 whereas Black Widow, Bullseye or Crossbones are a 6 is nonsensical.
@morpheus_: I was mainly referring to the lack of any sub-divisions. "Mastered multiple disciplines" encompasses so many fighters who could have completely different levels of skill. You could put somebody like Brenda Swanson in 6 right alongisde Matt Murdock or Davos. But they are worlds apart. There's no sense of gradation, I don't feel like you can draw much meaning from them, even if they were applied correctly.
@king-ragnar: Yeah I don't take these seriously. They released another one about 9 years ago and it was very different, they're probably written by some random intern or something.
@rogueshadow: Honestly, you could apply high/mid/low subcategories within the same tier, if you feel characters are good enough to be placed there but one of them is de facto (or narrowly) superior to the other. It still requires refinement per class definition, of course.
616 Mantis stomps every single person you put in TIER II: MASTER - Superlative Mastery Beyond the Scope of Even the Finest Combatants.
Why does everyone forgot that mantis is literally the best when it comes to martial artists in marvel.

@diarrhearegatta: I am on my phone I don’t have scans, but she beat Thor, vision, And scarlet witch in the same battle with nerve strikes (and she doesn’t have super strength)
She also stomped Black Panther And didn’t get tagged a single time in their fight.
Gamora should be higher. Wolverine should be lower. Iron Fist and Black Panther should be grandmasters.
