It'd be awesome if you guys did a piece about more recent additions to Batman's rogues gallery, like Professor Pyg and the Court of Owls, in addition to the tried and true classics to show how new villains are still being created!
March 2015 Character of the Month: Batman Villains
Bane vs Cap, Deadshot vs Bullseye, Ra's vs Redskull, Black Mask vs Punisher, Scarecrow vs Daredevil, Man-bat vs Vulture, Kraver vs Killer Croc(yeah I know Croc has no chance but I want to see it anyway), Mr. Freeze vs Shocker, Harley vs Elektra, Trapster vs Firefly, KG Beast vs Bucky, Clayface vs Hyrdoman, Catwoman vs Batroc, Prometheus vs SpOck to name a few.
Ikari vs Bronze Tiger, Wrath vs Taskmaster, Black Spider vs Black Widow, Nobody vs Kingpin, Deathstroke vs Nuke, Sensei vs Stick, Reaper vs Flag Smasher, The Heretic vs Gladiator(DD's villain),Dr Phosphorus vs Electro, Catman vs Owl, Anarky vs Hatemonger, Hudson Caspian vs Baron Zemo and Hush vs Mister Fear, The Hand vs the Court of Owls, Lady Bullseye vs Talia.
Typhoid Mary vs Hugo Strange, Copperhead vs Cobra(Caps villain), Grundy vs Hyde, Ivy vs Lizard, Ratcatcher vs Vermin, Two-Face vs Scourge, Moon Knight vs Joker and US Agent vs Red Hood.
I'm looking forward to some great bat-villain related articles, but I was hoping against hope that Flash's rogues would take this one.
Oh, well. Maybe next time...
@k4tzm4n: i was wondering would you please use this as a theme again sometime? This is truly the best way to celebrate villains after a long period of celebrating different heroes.
His critics were far more amenable than the Stewart fanbase would have you believe. Considering that one user called Gregg a "raci$t b****" for putting John in matches against BRB and Nova, that's a lot worse than anything the critics said.
Wait, what? Where specifically did this happen?
Bane vs. Kingpin. Ra's Al Ghul vs. Winter Soldier. Killer Croc vs. Kraven the Hunter. Zsasz vs Batroc. Bring it!!
@lvenger: I don't know relly, someone posted it on another thread and I saved it!!!!!!

In the comments for the John Stewart vs Richard Rider BOTW article I believe.
@lvenger: You're gonna take one comment as the general thoughts and attitude of a whole fanbase? If I did that, I'd have labeled all Batfans as pompous a$*H**** because of one particular post, but I know that doesn't apply to all of them, same as how not all Stewart fans are like the person you quoted, I say as a JS fan myself.
If you want a better example, someone who runs a blog and popular fan site for John Stewart called me racist for pointing out that Cyborg's presence decreases John Stewart's chances of being GL. And this person is considered a representative of John Stewart fans amongst their circle.
@lvenger: Well, I haven't called you a racist, have I? I doubt that's every fans opinion of the thoughts of people.
And I don't know who this guy you're talking about is, nor do I know what happened. However people's individual actions and words do not dictate or even indicate a group mentality. Not even a majority. If it did we would all be Batfans considering the majority love him, but the comments here say that's not the case.
@scouterv: But Bat fans don't have the level of defensiveness or antagonism that John Stewart fans have I'm afraid. Fair point about individual actions, however unfortunately the individual actions of a large number of John Stewart fans have been incredibly poor from my experience of them on forums. Rude, aggressive and self entitlement seem to go hand in hand with those fans (not you though as you haven't done any of those things) and they were displayed in spades in February.
@lvenger But what would the Batfans ever have to be defensive about or antagonistic?
Batman pretty much always wins when it comes down to popularity. Batman is never in danger of getting killed off or permanently replaced. John Stewart is, and I'm not saying that's defensive to call anyone racist for a valid opinion.
What I'm saying is those traits have a legit basis for at least being defensive. Especially considering how the critics/haters were in full force after seeing Panther take the loss after a big initial lead.
However no fanbase here has any grounds to be antagonistic.
I'd like to see some lesser known Bat-villains get into the spotlight. And not just his most famous ones like Joker or Two-Face.
No, dammit! I want to see how much Joker's fighting technique and gun-kata skills have improved!
I just came up with another couple of battle of the week suggestion:
Hugo Strange vs Owl
So, fight I'd love to see:
Bane (non-venom enhanced) vs Crossbones.
On one hand, Bane is a master tactician, strong even without venom boost, and a superb hand to hand fighter. He also isn't above using weapons when needed.
But, Crossbones is also strong, tough, and right at home using knives, guns or his signature weapon. He has gone toe to toe with captain America, with the de-serumed cap winning only by taking advantage of a costume flaw. The merc isn't too shabby on finding his opponents weaknesses either. And Bane won't have the advantages he used when he broke the exhausted Batman the first time.
Think it could make for an awesome brawl.
As for lady shiva, got to go with Electra or Typhoid Mary.
@DWrathborne: like the idea but think scarecrow would be a better combatant to a guy named after a psychological test.
@awesomeperson: There was no way anyones rouges gallery can compete with batmans was a win before it started.
More DC character of the month? Ugh.....
@guru_crack: Which is why I was extremely annoyed when Batman was running...
@awesomeperson: yea like the characters in Batmans rogues, my favourites but would of liked to see a Flash win.
The batman rouges were chosen. What an unexpected surprise. I love batman villains and think they should have their own character month, but was there really any point in making a vote if your going to add batman to the list.
Batman's rogues are iconic indeed. DId not know so many people hated Batman though.
you must be living in dream world
@lifeofvibe: Must be lol. Though I don't visit many comic sites so that has something to do with it as well.

I don't think anyone "hates" Batman. They're just worn out by how much content and attention he gets in relation to other characters. And of course the fact that Batman on a poll of any sort is almost an assured victory in terms of popularity, such as Character of the Month. Heck, even being remotely related to Batman puts characters in that family a cut above the rest in terms of popularity.
Lol, there was no way Batman was losing out on this. The second I saw him I knew it was a no contest.
@comicvine_is_jericho529 well to name a few there's sabretooth, wendigo, cyber, daken, omega red, shingen yashida, silver samurai, lady deathstrike to name just a few. You could probably argue that viper and gorgon fall into this category too. But yes, most of them have fought against the xmen too, but primarily consider wolverine their number one enemy from the group.
