I absolutely love both movies, but CW was not handled as well as it could have been. They should've used all the characters at their disposal. Zemo was a good villain, and Captain America is tied with Superman as my favourite superhero, but i like Man of Steel slightly more
Man of Steel will always be special for me lol, like I said in other threads, the action sequences between +mid tiers was made like never before in live action. It blew my mind how badass the action sequences are.
Man of Steel by a lot. Civil War wasn't really that good. I don't understand why it gets so much praise as one of the best comicbook movies to come out.
It was less a civil war and more a disagreement that ended in a playfight between two groups of friends.
It wasn't a great superman movie, but no way the worst. Remember superman 3 and 4? He fight nuclear man in 4 and himself in 3. Those were terrible. Civil war is way better. Not even a comparison.
I am fine. The general audience thinks Civil war was superior from Imdb and the box office and critics believe it was superior as well. I know extremely huge DC fans that will admit it wasn't that ggood aside from the action.
dark knight has all 90 percents from different sources and critics, while Ghostbusters reboot has 60s and 70s. They were nowhere near eachother by critic viewpoint. Next thing you know on this site, people will start saying Man of Steel is better than Winter Soldier and Logan. T
@superhero24: u know its ok if not everyone shares your opinion right? And yeah i think MoS is better than winter soldier because i've gotten more rewatchability out of the former and i think logan is a good send off movie and it would have been less impactful as a stand alone movie
I didn't say people couldn't have an opinion. You were the one that engaged into this conversation about how funny it was about my opinion on the matter as if my opinion was wrong. I just stated facts.
It was in my opinion. I obiviously didn't mean everyone should have my opinion or something. This site would be useless if everyone had the same opinion.
@ganon15: I'll search for it when I arrive home, for the moment I've found every kind of comparisons threads and even a thread that said BvS would made 2B (lol), but I can't find MoS vs CW... I'm sure I saw it here in the vine.
Civil War is better. I can handpick aspects in MoS I preferred over Civil War (score and villain for instance).
That said, it doesn't change the fact that Civil War is a lot better written and consistent experience that always leaves me with a smile on my face. I like Man of Steel, but it is a conflicting experience.
Civil war , its not even close , the audience and critical acclaim for civil war was unmatched by mos , mos didn't even break a billion , thats pretty sad for the most iconic hero of all time
@cull_obsidian: I would agree but no superman movie has ever made a billion even when adjusted for inflation.
Being iconic doesnt mean shit really. Spiderman is iconic asf but has never broke a billion (so far).

idk this is pretty close. Roughly the same for me. Sure audience and critical claim werent similiar but mos was very divisive. I prefer the tone, villain, and action for mos but cw had better editing and pacing.
