Magneto or Thanos - Who is more iconic?

Which comic villain is more iconic in today's era? Was the rise of MCU's depiction of the Mad Titan able to put him over?

Thanos is more popular, I guess. Not sure why we are talking about "classic" like age means anything. Vulture is one of Spidey's first big opponents but no one would say he's more iconic than Venom.

People sure were comparing Wonder Woman being the first female superhero to argue about this before with Wolverine. Magneto is not Vulture and he is classic depiction of every iteration from X-Men

If Marvel had to choose one main villain, that would be Thanos.

The guy was nearly fighting with the TOAA guys, come on now.

Maybe Thanos if you ask an average person walking down the street born after the year 2000.
