Mad Max: Fury Road vs Avengers: Infinity War?

if you sat someone down who had never seen any of the Mad Max movies and never seen the Marvel movies before and was shown these 2 movies 99% of people are going to go Fury Road. it is a great stand alone film, Infinity War without knowing the franchise and having seen the previous films doesn't hold up as a single stand alone movie.

Both are the most perfectly paced blockbusters of the past decade . But Infinity War is better due to the emotional impact and the fact that it feels earned over 18 movies . The fact that it has had the most impactful and iconic movie villain in pop culture over the past 5 - 10 years as well.

Fury Road was much better made.

As a stand alone movie, Fury road. That movie was a pleasant surprise. Great film.

Infinity War just kinda starts and if you dont know the characters, its really just another action movie, albeit a great one.

However, if you have knowledge of the MCU and have been following the story line, Infinity War is better.

I remember watching Fury Road and actually really liking it despite never seeing the other Mad Max movies.

I might need to watch it again, but for now I'll pick IW.

Fury. Shouldn't have watched IW twice. It really did ruin it for me.

If you have invested all the time, Endgame. If you're going in 100% blind, Fury Road.

Fury Road is just one amazingly constructed chase sequence bookended by a little setup/worldbuilding and brief denouement. You could show it to just about anyone and they'd enjoy it if they're a fan of action.

Mad Max: Fury Road stomps.

Fury Road has so much replay value. I make sure I watch it every year multiple times.
