This was one of my favorite x-men / mutant based movies fox has made. The action is hard hitting and more down to Earth than what most superhero movies are nowadays. Hugh did a great job in his performance. I really felt that Logan was really old and dying. He also did a great job with Wolverine's emotions. I would have preferred a different main antagonist instead of a Wolverine clone, maybe like Lady Deathstrike, Sabertooth or Azazel. For the most part X-23 was really well played. The humor in this movie was well placed and made for a perfect amount of a little sweet to go along with a lot of spicy. Toward the ending though, the movie was dragging a little, but once the final fight started it was great. The movie was fantastic with making you very sad emotionally especially if you have been invested into the series seeing how the ending of the movie went along with certain scenes in the middle of the movie. The only problems of the movie were the main antagonist, little to no explanation about the events of the destruction/death of the x-men, and no explanation on the changes of the World like how the mutants went extinct. I would have loved a Daken twist in here. He is similar to the Wolverine clone, but there is just more emotion and story that could have been in it. This is only because Fox is limited on what they could do with the old man story line. If disney obtained the rights for Wolverine, we could of got a real old man Logan movie with him fighting Cap, Hawkeye, and the Hulk gang. I give it a 7/10 in rating.
I think Logan is the best Comicbook film I've seen. I thought the fact that they called her Laura throughout the film made it seem more real and grounded. I thought the fact that she had friends made it more intense when they were being chased in the woods at the end...
@superhero24: Agreed i thought it was an amazing movie. I was also disappointed that they didnt delve further into the X-Men/Xavier incident as well as a better antagonist. I really liked the actor that played Donald Pierce though. Great acting on his part
I thought the movie was good, but it was a bit hard for me to sit there and watch my hero be so broken. I dont like this new world with the mutants gone. I thought they would set it up to be like wolverine and the xmen, where he finally runs a school for the new generation. I'm happy I guess, that everyone seems to like it and its getting great reviews even though it is not what I wanted.
