My translation doesn't matter, nor is it the point of my post. What you're supposed to be looking at is the Raw Kanji from my translation, and compare it to what Kanji comes out from the OP's translation(which you are hanging to as being correct).

Not gonna argue with scans or fan calcs with no credibility in them. The feat is being taken out of text solely for the purpose of downplaying the verse. That's quite sad, as someone said you should wait for the actual scans to come to any conclusion.

I mean it seems the point is the original explicit LS translation was just a blatant misrepresentation of the raws. We don't know what the actual translation and intent will finally be but the explicit LS translation is just wrong, that's it.

It's amusing to see plebs who can't write basic English thinking they are Japanese translators all of the sudden.

The LS to fast like light ratio is 6 : 1, and the websites in favor of LS translations are well established websites that have been there for years and are used by millions of manga readers worldwide. Now who in their right mind is going to believe in a single translation that is disproportionally outweighted by multiple credible well-established manga websites? Especially when the people who vouch for that single translation are the same old relentless FT downplayers who, in case you didn't know, are in the same discord echo chamber server.

Despite the questionable translations from some manga sides, "being fast like light" can be a metaphor and just mean he is really fast, close to LS, or is LS. I give Fairy Tail for now the benefit of the doubt, especially since only one character for now can be argued as LS, while backscaling to Acnologia, etc. doesn´t work. Let us wait for the next chapters, there will be either plenty of back ups that the character has SoL, or not. That alone will decide what is accepted and what not.

Yeah this is at least something to start about to look, finally a feat/statement, but we need wait for more feats. Also the translation is clearly different as then what the fan translation said. We need to see more.^^
