Just rewatched Man of Steel and its a masterpiece.

Amazing film, the score is world class, cg/editing is great, emotional sequences, great villain (s), structured cleanly, its just a perfect film and the best superhero origin film ever (just about beats Spider-Man 1 for me)

Actually your not wrong....it is the best film in the DCEU by miles...I like that it is not held back by the concept of a rushed shared universe.

It is definitely a solid film, and it is very underrated. But it isn't a masterpiece, not by a long shot...

Uhhh nay, MOS had a few good things but was in the end pretty lacklustre.

I don't like how loosely some people call films "masterpieces", but I will say that MoS is a great film and probably has the makings of a classic. It's been 4 years and this film is still more relevant than any other contemporary CBM save TDK.

If anything, i'd say it's Snyders personal masterpiece. It's likely the best original film he'll ever make.

@tj849: If I had to decide between BvS and MoS regarding aesthetics and visual beauty, I'd say MoS edges it out. BvS has some amazing shots and is breathtakingly beautiful but MoS feels more personal and somehow even better shot.

For me it's leaps and bounds DCEU's best movie, but yet it's sequel is in doubt (though tbh, since Snyder isn't directing it, my excitement has extremely decreased).

It's the only film besides Dark Knight & Logan (and maybe, maybe WS) that I'd even utter the word masterpiece in the same breath.

Man of Steel was a great movie, and I loved it, but as a Superman movie it was terrible, if you get what I mean. Snyder tried to bring forth his visions with the wrong character and universe.

Great movie, and definitely underrated. Not sure if I'd call it a master piece tho.

While I do feel like is underrated, I personally preffered WW since it does not have stupid pretentious moment. Also no, just because something is good does not mean they are master pieces.

Granted Zod is the best villain in DCEU.

I mean BvS we had Zuckeberg who for some reason calling himself Lex Luthor.

A cave troll name Doomsday.

Suicude Squad we have a drug addict gangster calling himself the Joker.

Also a hoola hoop dancer calling herself the Enchantress.

Wonder Woman we have a old British guy calling himself Ares.

Also as far as favorite Snyder film, I would go with Watchmen uncut.

@deltahuman: Yeah I agree, the knightmare scenes visuals was beautiful and Supes fight with Bats. Dont forget Wonder Woman as well, Themyscria was amazing as well. Hopefully the Justice Leagues is great as well, I've heard good things about the first Steppenwolf invasion (where Zeus pops up).

DCEU fans really need to understand that people have different opinions about movies and not everyone has the same taste in them.
