She uses the powers to get on the ground, but always has a force that pushes her comeback
I've always wondered how Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat does to get back to the surface.
Kitty's powers dont make a lot of sense really if you look at them close enough... unless she can phase only parts of her body (which I assume is actually what she does), even triggering them would have her fall through the ground and we'd never see her again since if she reforms even for a moment, she is going to be underground with no air and no way of getting up. Likewise, if she in phased form is just sort of swimming through particles, why can't she fly?
Ignore it and read: Required secondary powers.
For any kind of sci-fi media from comics to manga to tv that has powers, this is helpful to understand and not get an issue with it.
Things like: Mystique would need some sort of natural ESP/eidetic memory to quickly see any person and automatically get all the details right for mimicry.
Super strong people trying to lift things too heavy for the building leverage beneath them, but the floor always is stable enough to prop up whatever tonnage they are trying too. Strength to surroundings, required secondary power.
Moving at super-speed, requires all kinds of g-force type powers as well.
This list could go on for a very, very long time.
She can "air walk" when intangible.
She walks through the air or "levitates" when going through surfaces to climb back to the surface.
How come she didn't fall to the core of the earth when she did this
And how the hell did she do this
?
Ignore how she floated down/up - I've always wondered how did such technique she employed on non-phasers left them still alive or uninjured? In the above example, Juggernaut's lower body should together with the ground, become a composite material. Or is the space required to bury Juggernaut is shifted to other dimension?
Sometimes it helps not to think too much on these nonsense powers.
