I heard there are people that do not like the justice league movie and I was wondering why I liked it
is the justice league movie that bad ?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Its overhated honestly most DCEU movies are except Suicide Squad that was just trash. There are several issues with the movies that are due ti the viewers and not the movie.
1. People try to compare it to the MCU so they think its automatically bad.
2. People have such high expectations for the movies that movies can't hope to compete.
3. The MCU came first so people automatically put it on some pedastle for superhero movies.
4. It's became popular to hate the movies
5. People actually go into the theatres ready to hate them.
Honestly the movies aren't exactly great but they are enjoyable. Heck gonna be honest I love the MCU movies but I legit hated Ragnorak as it was weak for a MCU movie but then again everyone says it's one of the best. I felt like that the plot was rushed and a bit anticlimatic with overdone humor.
Compared to MCU, yes since none of the characters are relatable or interesting outside of the humor they provide. It wasn't a bad movie though, it was fun and had some cool moments. Just nothing special, and when you have superhero movies coming out at that quality MCU is doing, that's the standard you are held to as a billion dollar movie company.
Its entertaining and definitely not terrible, but there are so many problems
They get the main character, Batman, wrong on so many levels
The score is bland and forgettable, the Zimmer/XL score should've been used
The CGI is terrible most of the time
Steppenwolf is a terrible villain
It feels badly paced, lots of story is missing
They tried to make it too jokey
The Flash in this movie is terrible. They get Barry's character so wrong, his jokes aren't funny but are forced
The Whedon reshoots are really obvious, whether it's because of bad green screen, character inconsistencies etc.
I definitely like the way they handled Superman towards the end though. He felt like Superman
It's disappointing and doesn't even stay true to its own continuity.
Superman's praised as some god after he dies, yet the main focal point of his character and his main CONFLICT was that humanity didn't understand him and seen him as a threat since they thought he caused more harm than good. So he ends up more or less than distancing himself, not even trying to get an understanding with them. He seemed like Superman in the end of the movie, but it just doesn't connect.
Batman seemed out of character and Affleck looked like he wanted to kill himself on set. Also why does Batman aspire to be Superman all of a sudden. He literally tried to kill him, then sees Superman get killed fighting a giant monster, they had no connection.
The way they wrote flash was horrible, its not Barry Allen, if anything it's like Bart Allen, plus his jokes were hit or miss and usually missed.
Auqaman, well self explanatory but I don't mind it too much.
Cyborg is bland, could have been replaced by one of the robots from Irobot and there would be more character.
Wonder Woman was fine, no problem with her.
CGI was terrible
Stepphen Wolf is not a good nor memorable villain.
The movie isn't paced well.
We don't have any real connection with anyone in the cast, only two of the 6 have actually solo movies.(You can count BvS as Batmans movie but still.)
All that plus, they can't decide what tone they want with their movies.
I have high hopes for Shazam and Auqaman though, I hope they're good because we deserve better than this. Plus, Marvel needs some competition right now.
Batman was out of character.
Wonder Woman delivered a pretty cringey line
Aquaman was generic
Flash was just annoying
Superman had a fake mouth, and completely overshadowed the entire team
And Steppenwolf doesn't even compare to the villains of other Superhero movies. Ebony Maw was a better villain than him.
It's not even comically bad to the point where it's funny to poke fun at it. It's just boring.
Shazam and Aquaman look dope though.
It was enjoyable, but pretty forgettable. Also there’s a stigma attached to dc movies so like @seagod said people go in ready to hate it regardless.

No, however, it's not good either. TBH only CBM fans should watch, no one else would really like it.
It wasn't completely terrible, it was just alright. That's the problem though, it should have been amazing but failed to live up to a large amount of its hype and potential.
Don't you get tired?

Doing this isn't helping you. You make these types of comments every time you make an alt so that people won't know it's you, but then immediately trash DC a few posts later. You do this EVERY TIME. Like when you made @jujucrunk you posted like 5 comments on Marvel threads saying "Marvel sucks", but then immediately after you started riding Marvel and the MCU along with Captain Marvel again.
This right here gives you away:

Just find another website.
@bruceveidt: I don't get the deal with that guy man. He gets to usually 10-20 posts and Rogue ends up banning him, why can't he just drop this site? Ergh its just so annoying.

I don't get him either.
He just has this urge to make everyone blindlessly love Marvel and Cpt Marvel the way he does.
And at this point, spotting him is way too easy so i just mark him before he even gets to begin with his toxicity. Sometimes he makes 2-4 alts at the same time so that it's maybe a little harder to spot. But he fails to even change his usual discourse.
@bossstuntz3: Captain salt detected
As for JL it was horribly mediocre
It could have been better. I think it was a bad story. The Classic, comic-book league was formed by Arthur, Barry, Hal, J'onn and Diana. I get that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are box office names, but that wasn't the point of the comic book. It seems obvious that Warner Bros./DC was trying to copy the MCU. Justice League could have adapted the Starro origin story.
It's a movie that was badly damaged by forces outside of it. Having two directors with very different sensibilities damaged it. Having an overly nervous and bossy studio behind it, damaged it. Having a very polarizing prequel, damaged it too. And having a bunch of reviewers and fans who only wanted one thing from that movie damaged it as well by not living up to unreasonable and illogical expectations.
Also this.
It was probably the worst of the DCEU movies because what was released was a movie with zero ambitions anywhere. No artistic merit; no soul. Just a really expensive, hacked down, reshot, retouched mess that literally did everything in its power to simply apologize for the other horrible DCEU films and get quick toy sales without even trying to be a film in its own right.
I liked it. But I liked it because of how bad it was. I laughed at every editing flaw and just how badly put together the movie was. That's not a good sign. I don't even do that for Bad Boys 2: a bad movie I shamelessly love for how camp it is.
