Is Superman's son stronger than Superman himself ?

I just read the first couple of issues of Superman Rebirth and I have 2 questions:

1- Is DC going the direction that Dragon Ball Z took years ago when they hyped Gohan to be

Goku's successor, in which Superman's son is going to replace him ?

2- Is Superman's son stronger than Superman himself ?

I seriously doubt they will replace Clark as Superman. If they do it will most likely only be a temporary thing.

Jon is only half Kryptonian, so I don't think he'll become as strong, or stronger than Clark.

not replacing him, I doubt Superboy will age much during the run of Rebirth (before another reboot lol). But there will definitely be a lot of implied remarks, and storylines showing the future where Superboy is more powerful.

He'll solo Darkseid and then want to go to college and become a professor. A time will come when He'll even forget where he puts his superboy costume.

lol imagine Superman going the Goku route and he tells his son Jon to fight Doomsday.

Afterwards Doomsday will create Doomsday Jrs. that will start attacking the JLA.

Jon will go Super Kryptonian and he'll basically become as strong as Superman Prime.

Nope, but I can see Jon joining the Teen Titans in the future.

I can see them creating a book set in the future for both damian and jon and maybe jon will be stronger but idk.

A future story with the two of them grown up could happen.

Not for now they will stay as kids for a while.
