Is Shanks actually a Bad guy?

There isn't really such a thing as a "bad guy" in One Piece. Most of the characters are doing things for their own agenda, and Shanks is no different.

Except for this dude.

Doubt it, he probably just wants to be Luffy’s final test for becoming Pirate King, though of course Shanks will first become PK if he claims the One Piece.

I don't think he'll be a straight-up evil "bad guy," but people were crazy to think he'll sit on the sidelines and cheer on Luffy like clearly, they'll be adversaries.

Shanks is a pirate and not just any pirate a Yonko with the ambition to become the Pirate King. So you can say he's another antagonist but I wouldn't call him a bad guy.

Shanks just pursues his own agendas. Doesn't make him a "bad guy". Even if someone isn't allied with Luffy, it doesn't automatically make them the bad guys.

Rival=/=antagonist

Shanks had absolutely no reason to assist against Greenbull were he a "bad" guy he'd have not interfered.

I don't think so but I haven't learned about him. Maybe he's like an older Luffy without powers. Could still be evil or good or seem to not be easily understood.

Shanks: Marry my daughter, Luffy! Continue the Uta Bloodline and usher a new world for future descendants!

Luffy: I will have to defeat you once and for all, Shanks. Only then can I achieve my own dreams.

He's just a plot device.

I think their ideals will clash and they will have a fight like naruto ideology of Hokage and the anti ideology with Sasuke revolution Majin Vegeta shit. Maybe shanks.

I also think Luffy and Shanks will inevitably team up in the manga with Gear 5 and Shanks full power like in the movie with them in different dimensions are bur in the manga they will be standing side by side helping each other attack

What of we get a Magi twist? That would be prettty cool to see Shanks become the main bad or something like that.

I'm willing to bet that either Shanks is the antagonist or Shiryu is stronger than Aokiji.

One of these 2 statement will be true.

What makes Shiryu above Aokiji? hasn't he been frozen easily by the former Admiral lately? Deep down i still think Kuzan is a good guy he went undercover in BB crew, and if Shanks turned evil after all this time, i'd be shocked and sad
