I haven’t read any yet but it seems as if it’s the best thing to happen to the comic industr. If it’s this good I might need to check it out
Is Rebirth really as good as people are saying
Not the best to happen to comic industry but yeah, its pretty good. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps is my favorite rn.
I think rebirth is good, post-crisis was way saturated, too overpowered.
We have a new start, upcoming developments as once happened in post-crisis.
It has some really good books.
Mainly:
Jurgens´Action Comics
Tomasi´s Superman and Supersons
Yuang´s New Super-man
King´s Batman and Mister Miracle
Tynion´s Detective Comics
Rucka´s Wonder Woman
Johns´Doomsday Clock and Rebirth one-shot
Williamson´s Flash
Abnett´s Aquaman and Titans
Percy´s Green Arrow
Priest´s Deathstroke
Barring Batman and Detective comics, I'm liking everything I'm reading. Those being :
- Superman
- Action Comics
- Aquaman
- Justice league
- Deathstroke
- Green Arrow
- Titans
- Red Hood and The Outlaws
- Super Sons
- Hal Jordan and The Green Lantern Corps
It depends on the book. "Best thing to happen to the industry" would be a major exaggeration. Consensus seems to be:
- Hitch's JL is abysmal. Not sure what the consensus is on Priest's run, but I assume it's great. Haven't heard much talk of JLA, but it's Orlando, so I assume it's good too.
- The Superman line massively improved. There are some detractors, and some people are angry over DC killing New52 Superman and treating him like the worst mistake ever, but overall it's praised. The exception was Superwoman, which is no longer ongoing.
- The Batman line is somewhat controversial. King's Batman has some people arguing it is one of the best Batman runs ever and others (most of the people on this site) arguing it is terrible. Tynion's Detective Comics is either a fun book or a massive waste of a good cast, depending on who you ask. Scott Snyder's All Star Batman and Metal is controversial too (I think it's a lot of fun).
- Also on the Batman line, Tim Seeley's Nightwing was great (not sure about after he left the book), RH&TO is regarded as a massive improvement over the New52 run, and I haven't heard much of Batgirl, Birds of Prey or Batwoman since it started, and absolutely nothing of Batman Beyond.
- Rucka's Wonder Woman was widely praised, the exception being fans of the New52 WW (which, to be fair, was treated even worse than New52 Superman) and people who don't like Rucka.
- HJ & the Green Lantern Corps is regarded as an improvement over Venditti's New 52 Green Lantern. Whether that means it's still incapable of managing its cast or one of the best books out there depends on who you ask. Green Lanterns is controversial too, with views ranging from completely abysmal to great.
- Flash and Aquaman are praised. Cyborg continues to be seen as boring.
- Titans is near universally seen as boring. Teen Titans I don't know.
- Green Arrow is near universally acknowledged as having great art. The writing, depends on who you ask.
- Deathstroke is universally praised except by people who already hated Deathstroke.
- Suicide Squad is seen as terrible. Harley Quinn's reception hasn't changed at all.
- Mister Miracle is great.
It's not by any means the best thing to happen to the comic industry, but it was exactly what DC and the comic industry needed. Rebirth is composed mainly of good stories, likable characters, and an overall stable status quo that built up to any big changes. All of these things encourage readers to keep coming back and made for good, stable business, which was good for the comic industry as a whole.

Honestly, not really. I mean for new comers to comic like me, some of them are surprisingly hard to get into like Wonder Woman. Some are a fun read like Red Hood, some are over the place like Harley Quinn and Detective Comic, where one moment is fun, other moment just terrible. Superman is actually decent, but I have not read that much, but so far I enjoy them. So overall no, but there definitely some decent read.
@quinlan58: Yet a lot of stuff from previous comic book is brought up to the point that it felt like I was reading a continuation of a comic, instead of what is supposed to be a soft reboot to get new people in. Like with Cheetah curse they were a bunch of information dump that made it felt like I was supposed to read New-52 to get what was happening. It did not feel friendly to new readers in my opinion which was disappointing.
Everything except Tom King’s Batman is really solid.
It has some really good books.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. That piece of garbage is among the best but not Metal.
Its way better than new 52 i'll give it that. It's what DC needed but I wouldn't say it's comic book industry best.
It's been pretty good yea. I haven't gotten around to all the books yet but from what I have read it's a great overall shakeup. Titans is one of my favorite books. The Superman family lineup is great. Batman is okay depending on how well you can handle strange dialogue and PIS.
I think my least favorite has been Wonder Woman. It's so boring. I don't know where to begin with my gripes on that one.
@riddlerfan77: chill. It’s his opinion.
@nighthunter: Sorry for how rude I was when mentioning my opinion.

And I'm mentioning mine. I came across as rude though I realise that now.
