I'd like to see him fight more established people rather then "Professional Assassin #2", "Hand Ninja #45" and "Biker #4" but on a physical aspect, he's fine.
It depends on how you look at it. Compared to the comic counterpart he seems much less skilled and even less agile, but in a general sense within the MCU I think he's in a pretty good place for skills/abilities considering his power level.
I do think the showrunners seem a little too obsessed with making Matt suffer to a point where it causes narrative inconsistencies with his powers. Like how he'll struggle the same amount against a ninja as a random thug, or (bigger problem) that scene in season 2 where he's completely unaware of the Hand ninja around him and Stick has to guide him through it? That seemed really contrived to downplay his senses when he should've been aware where they were.
Overall I'd say he's maybe slightly underpowered but I don't think it's a bad thing as long as the show continues and he gets better.
He's underpowered,but it's a budget/Netflix type justifiable type underpowered so it works. If he debuted on the big screen he'd be a lot more impressive. That being said I still love Daredevil
He's over powered already in healing alone there's no way he should have made it through season one from the injuries he had. His combat skills are acceptable though minus the ridiculous jumping and spinning in season one
No. He’s consistently fighting and holding his own against ninjas, superhumans, and thugs. Only thing I will say, is have him utilize pressure points and maybe more acrobatic other than that he’s fine.
I could see an argument being made by comic standards, I guess. Matt’s usually in the same fighting class as Steve. That said, I think his current skill level works well for the hardboiled nature of the show; it keeps the story grounded, the fights engaging, and just makes the whole thing feel more realistic than the main MCU flicks.
@rbt: It is when Black Widow takes out fodder 20× more efficiently. Matt is stronger with ninja training yet frequently struggles with fodder and jobs against Fisk. Literally no real MCU street level would be given trouble, even Nakia from Black Panther would beat him.
