Or does that still belong to Loki
Is Kingpin now MCU Best villain?
@saint_wildcard: Lool
*sarcasm on* Nah, Malekith is the most layered and awesome one.
*sarcasm off* Yeah, I'd say Kingpin's my favorite out of all the options. I love how this entire series is basically Wilson Fisk's path to becoming Kingpin. It's not until the final episode he finally realizes that yes, he's the villain.
Fisk is probably the best on paper because he's certainly the most developed. When they said this was as much a Kingpin origin story as it was Daredevil's they weren't lying.
Personally, I still prefer Loki.
@sodamyat: after brutally murdering said stress and stress' entire family + lineage.
Yeah.
To the thread: Yeah, Kingpin is by far the best MCU villain. We'll see how far that holds after Ultron appears.

- Loki
- Kingpin
- The Winter Soldier - if you want to count him as a villain.
- Iron Monger
- Red Skull
- Abomination
- Alexander Pierce
- Whiplash
- Ronan
- Malekith
- Mandarin/Killian/Bullsh*t
Something like that.
Roll on Ultron, and even more roll on David Tennant's Purple Man, I can't wait to see that.

I think I can accept that list. Minor modifications:
-Mandarin should just be last. No ranking number.
-Iron Monger should be lower, probably just after abomination.
Every other villain so far was either underdeveloped (Malekith, Ronan, Red Skull) a punk bitch (Loki, Killian) or underused (Winter Soldier). So, yes. Unless Ultron proves himself a good villain.

Nice. Ultron I think will crack the top five, and it will indeed be neat to see what Purple Man is like. I rate them:
- Kingpin
- The Winter Soldier
- Iron Monger
- Loki
- Ronan
- Abomination
- Whiplash
- Alexander Pierce
- Red Skull
- Malekith
- "Mandarin" (The Mandarin that turned out to be fake was better than most of this list. Oh well.)
Edit: The insurgents from Iron Man should also be on there somewhere, probably at 4 or 5.
Loki an kingpin are interchangeable. Prefer them for different reason but both are at the top of MCU villain list. Abomination would be my 3rd.
I like Loki's character but I don't like him as a villain. Never at any point did he feel seriously threatening to me.
This. +100000
I liked Kingpin in the comics and the old Spider-Man animated but for me the actor was great but really didn't like how he came across.
It's Fisk, but remeber its Fisk by default because the MCU has a terrible Villian pool. He's only competion is Loki as of now. Looking forward to Ultron and Purpleman being multi layered Villians.
Definitely Loki.
Fisk is awesome though. Love his actor and his scenes
can't really compare tv series to movies. Tv series how much more time to develop characters through episodes.
Just because one is better than the other doesn't mean we can't compare them >:)
@k4tzm4n: hey I notice you still have your staff thing(also you're unflaggable), I don't suppose the vine smartened up and hired you back?
Heh, nah, I'm not writing for the site anymore. I may be able to occasionally help out (or maybe one day return on a regular basis), so that's probably why the tag remains.
The best acted I think. He might not be as pretty as Tom Hindeltson, but Vince brought a scary level of acting to his role.
@k4tzm4n: How about that Battle of the Week thread? .........cough..........cough............

I so hope Tennant kills it. He's a fantastic actor and if they give him as much room to develop the character as D'Onofrio I think he's gunna be incredible.

God, i hope not.
He's a little momma's boy whiner.
at any moment of real stress he sounds like he's about to cry and run to momma.
Well, yes. In many ways, Fisk is pathetic and downright weak. He's emotionally unstable and exhibits symptoms of a plethora of mental disorders including social anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and even mild autism. This stands in direct contrast with the monolithic persona and reputation he has cultivated for himself amongst the criminal underworld and also subverts the stereotypical "cold and calm crime lord" stock character that has become so common in crime fiction in the past 50 or so years.
I think you're thinking too much in terms of traditional comic book villainy where the antagonist has to be "cool" or "bad ass" in order to be an effective villain. That's not always the case.
Take a look at some of the most acclaimed and iconic antagonists in film. Annie Wilkes from Misery. Norman Bates from Psycho. Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange. Monsieur Candy from Django Unchained. All deeply flawed, often times pathetic and weak-willed characters who for some reason or the other, have been given a position of power which they abuse at the expense of the protagonist. There's few things more terrifying than a weak man with all the power in the world.
Yes, there is still a place for the traditional "bad ass villain", but don't discount the more complex and sophisticated portrayals of villainy being introduced into the superhero genre.
Loki's a villain? Didn't know punk b*tches could be villains
LOL!!!
Yes
