Yeah this was brought out when the West Coast Avengers went back in time. I can't remember if it was when he came to normal time or when they were back in time. It was during a time when Hawkeye and him was together.

I tried looking him up but everything comes up new for him. According to the link below it was actually 2003 he actually admitted he was gay. Before that it was just hinted at. Thats the only thing I can find.
