So I read the first issue of the new Thanos series and to me, he looks really off. Not to mention he uses a weapon to kill everyone.
Is it just me or does Thanos look off in the new Thanos series?
@magian: Also its a prequel so theres that :P
Just you
@byondeon: Hey, you can post this in the Thanos Discussion Thread if you like
@darthvaderrocks: I think it's his headgear that makes it look that way. Also, his costume looks way weirder.
I like the guy here tho
@byondeon: Yeah the art just makes look weird.
@darthvaderrocks: It's probably grows on you once you read more. I like it, but it's wierding me out at the same time..
@byondeon: Yeah I enjoyed issue 1 and will continue with the series so hopefully it does grow on me. If it doesn't I might just drop it unless the story is really, really good.
@darthvaderrocks: I just hope they drop Thanos weapon and show his true powers. I will still read it, but Thanos doesn't feel like Thanos when he have a weapon.
@byondeon: Eh I don't mind Thanos having a weapon mainly because we know he can use his true powers at any moment he chooses too. Who knows, we might get some good feats for his new weapon which could be cool
@darthvaderrocks: True, but so far, it's underwhelming. All it did was cleave some fodder in half.
@byondeon: Yeah but it's only issue 1. Give it some time
@phillip33: We have seen early Thanos tho and he looked like his "ordinary" self. And that was before this prequel.
Also, yeah, now that you mention it, might be his characterization that feel kinda off for some reason. One part of that might be the weapon and the way he acts during his genocidal tirades..
@byondeon: He did use a freezing gun against a crazy Thor in Blood & Thunder though.
@mar-vell92: That wasn't a freezing gun, it was an energy prison thing. And he only used it because his objective wasn't to fight Thor, it was to fight Odin. And he did use it against Odin too but he broke it like it was a piece of paper. But he didn't use it in a fight. He was using it because his objective was to talk to Odin, so he didn't have time to fight so he needed to end it, so he imprisoned Thor.
@byondeon: Aah gotcha.
@spambot: He used to have pitch black eyes not red.
@spambot: He used to have pitch black eyes not red.
It was both. It would be pitch black or glowing red inside of the black.
@spambot: Thanos had red glowing eyes ?
@spambot: Thanos had red glowing eyes ?
Yes. Usually when his eyes were actually drawn it would be as glowing yellow or red balls.
@spambot: oh ok thanks
