Is Garou Star Level?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Literally the only decent argument I've seen against it so far was the rays size.
Jesus this one chapter is gonna break CV before we even get to see the other infamous feat in Thor L&T lmao.

No, he's Solar system level
@takenstew22: that's a pretty big argument.
For real. Claiming someone is star level when entire verse doesn't even have a on panel planet busting feat is ridiculous and wank.
CBR, much like CSRC, has no feats. OPM needs to start actually destroying celestial bodies before I take it seriously.

"If I yell planetary devastation and only destroy a mountain, does that make me planetary?"
This has nothing to do with anything I'm ngl.
LMAO a character can call his attack planet burst yet it only punch a hole through a wall. Are people gonna accept he a planet buster? LOL
If I yell planetary devastation and only destroy a mountain, does that make me planetary?
I could literally use the same example and say the same about Goku and Beerus "Universal shockwaves" that didn't even bust stars. So I guess Goku isn't even Universal no more.
"it's an example since Garou attack is named gamma ray burst. If you don't get it then I can't think of an example more easier to understand."
I understand the example, but what I'm saying is that it has no resemblance since garou's had much more context to the name of his attack. Planetary devastation is completely different to garou's attack and doesn't hold the same meaning, something that can seem similar can be very different.
That point shouldn't be that hard to understand. Naming an attack does make it that level. Lol
@lordragoon: my point exactly
Ye no shit but garou's had more context it wasn't simply just called gamma ray burst.
Bro I don't really care whether or not you believe in SS garou but you have to make better arguments then that I'm ngl.
@deyyy: did Goku yell out "universal kamehameha"?
This doesn't disprove my point. Are you saying just because Goku didn't yell universal Kamehameha is supposed to be universal and Garou can't? because neither did Garou yelled solar system ray or star level ray.
Read where? Contradicted where? You gotta make sense I don't understand, I've read it many times and I don't see it.
"all you're doing is denying what I'm saying, which doesn't make it true or help your point."
Denying what you're saying? Yes I am, because what YOU'RE saying doesn't make sense you say it doesn't help my point but I've already addressed your argument, even tho it was lackluster and was completely ignorant. I've already addressed your arguments.
Clearly there more context, but a real GRB would obliterate the planet if exploded on the surface. You can claim it a mini GRB or whatever but that does not make it star level.

Did you not read the chapter? Ye which is why saitama jumped in the air so It wouldn't touch the ground. Also wdym exploding on the surface?
Alright so since we have people not understanding what I'm asking I'm just going to ask a few questions, answer them then I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion I did.
1) does making an attack after something automatically make it have the same potency as the real thing?
do you mean naming?
2) was the attack Garou performed "the largest most powerful explosive phenomenon."?
who knows.
Ah Comicvine never ceases to amaze
1º - Author literally explains that said character "Gained knowledge of the flow of all energy in the universe" and shows him manipulating said energy
2º - Character performs several feats confirming the 1st author statement, author then explains what a gamma ray burst is right after said feat was performed
uR dUR, attack names not equal to the AtTAcK
"does making an attack after something automatically make it have the same potency as the real thing?"
If the creator provides enough context to it yes it does.
"was the attack Garou performed "the largest most powerful explosive phenomenon."?"
Doesn't matter, it would still produce the same energy and potency regardless of size, you know why? Because its fiction. It doesn't have to be the same size as one to produce the same potency by intent.
Intent here seems super explicit, so I'd say star level is fair.
"using a fraction of energy from something, even in fiction, different Equal the full potency of it. Lol. OMG. That's the dumbest argument I've heard. Can you prove it has the exact same energy and potency of a full gamma burst? I understand it's fiction but fiction still uses logic."
That statement does imply to all of fiction and no shit fiction uses logic but that isn't really enough evidence to say that it wasn't using logic. That's what we're arguing and it's in the scan he's obviously imitating a gamma burst which with past context would have the same potency.
