Poll Is DCEU Doomsday an abomination? (28 votes)
He looks like one
He looks like one
Abomination adapts and solos
You mean doomsday?
Yes. He has caused the vine great dismay.
Internet-shaking punches
This made me laugh. I'm not sure about an abomination but he does remind me of a LOTR cave troll.
He reminds me of a lot of things. This seemed closest
Also created by blood transfusion.

Indeed. I didn't think about it but there are some significant similarities. Abomination talks though.

Doomsday never got a chance to display his mic skills. Give him a microphone
But Doomsday's base body was unconscious for a long time. This might have affected him. Given time, I think he would be able to talk
Doomsday is a universal entity Abomination was so bad the fans and his own movie universe forgot about him
DCEU ripped off abomination confirmed.
Doomsday looks older than abomination. He's probably his daddy

So... who was his mom? 0_0
Don't ask that. You're gonna puke
Yes, call Doomsday a cave troll from LOTR. Call Doomsday a ninja turtle.
*slow claps*
Bravo, you're original.
@monsterstomp: LMAO are you actually implicitly defending his character design?
@the_magister: Not at all. Just implying how silly the slaps against him are. Didn't know they'd stick for this long.

@the_magister: *cringe* You should be ashamed trying to force that.

1. He had a base body? It's been a long time since I watched BvS so I'm probably just forgetting.
2. Maybe. Now I'm wondering what his voice would sound like.
@amcu: I meant Zod
@apex_pretador: Yeah. I sometimes forget he came from Zod.
Well, thats how the first of his kind was recorded.
What happened to the original?
Where is my man the Abominable Snowman?
He ventured fearlessly into the sun... and melted.

What?
Well, thats how the first of his kind was recorded.
What?
You know in the movie that Lex was followed around one of the floating robots while inside the spaceship? That robot mentioned that the process of turning Zod into Doomsday was something that had been done before and been since banned.
...Come to think of it I am not sure 'abomination' was part of the description. 'the desecration with no name' I think they called it.
This design was bad, but the jokes are old. Saying this being guilty myself.
But if you look at his original design, and realize how unadaptable it is, you can understand why they went for an alternative.
It is not just about Jokes. I only yesterday realized how they look like twins. Also both made by blood transfusion.
DCEU Batman solos with his Star level durability.
lmao wtf

Considering that Doomsday IS the character that is supposed to have this crazy bone overload unlike any incarnation of Abomination, the question of any possible ripping falls off. I doubt any of the crew really was inspired by Ab.
The blood transfusion and Lex though was bizarre, I have no idea what is it even supposed to mean.
that's not the best of it.
Where's the planets just being large rocks and dceu doomsday having better durability than then because a plane crash would destroy earth but not doomsday?

thank you, brave traveler. for telling us the tale of this brave creature.
Now let's see if we can get Frosty to take his place

Well, according to DCEU lore, process of creating those abominations were discovered thousands years ago by kryptonian scientist Bertron. They were result of cross-breeding genetic experiments, so Lex provided some of his DNA for mentioned cross-breeding. That and I guess he really wanted to take a part in killing Superman personally; in a sense Doomsday is Lex's own flesh and blood, like a brand of creation, of ownership.
Abomination doesn't even look remotely like comic's abomination.
The double standards lmao. Same people will be crying on every MCU thread with the tiniest critcism that only Marvel gets haters.
Where was it stated though? The ship AI mentioned a forbidden deformity without any details. On a symbolic level what you say makes perfect sense, but it wasn't clear even in Doomsy's action, he didn't "recognize" Lex and was about to smash his face. I think if he'd obey Lex that would've been better as kind of inbred directive to his genetic scent.
It reminds me of Namek, who was also a crossbred super Kryptonian and that's the reason he was so large. I learned that on some wiki. It sucks that they don't explore these interesting ideas IN the movies leaving people confused... which bit them in the ass more than once already.
