So, the comic with Carol and Kamala looked like it took place in the 70's. What is glaring of this is when Kamla said she needed an Ibuprofen a man act like he didn't know what it was, Ibuprofen came out in the 60s and became widely circulated later on in the 70s. The art style and mode of dress was also very 70's feel, when I saw Carol, she actually looked good, but looked to be in her late twenties or early 30's. If that is the 70's then adding real time with Kamala being from present day Marvel, that would make Carol close to 70 years old. Is it the kree DNA keeping her younger looking but visible sign of aging.

I always thought current Carol was in her early thirties to late thirties.

The Kree DNA keeps her young. It's also slowly turning her into a man.

I honestly like her new outfit. It's really cool. The problem is that if she's going to be a role model for children, especially young girls, then she needs to be something they can relate to. My niece doesn't want to be a boy, or be seen as a boy. She likes girl stuff, but she's also been getting into Supergirl a bit lately. I'm encouraging that little by little (she's only 5), because Supergirl is awesome and I think it's cool that my niece likes her. I want to be a big fan of Captain Marvel, and would be if I could justify giving Marvel my money. It's hard to do that with the way the company's been behaving, and the way they portray their characters these days.

Truth be told though, I like the art in the second picture you posted. The only change I'd make is to give her long hair. I'm not a good judge of art, though. I'm pretty easy to please on that front.

um, the marvel timeline is always sliding and never goes along real life time, a good example is how Peter was a teenager in the 60s yet just now he's barely into his early 30s.

@the_stegman: Sad indeed, Carol Danvers used to be one of the most beautiful women in comic books and a really good character in her Ms Marvel persona, I always looked forward to anything she appeared in, nowadays it´s quite the contrary, she´s not pretty at all tbh, she is portrayed too muscular bordering manly, and her character is just annoying.

@thor_parker82: It's also sad that the more masculine Carol gets, the more unlikable. I would have never guessed ten years ago that Carol would turn into the proto-fascist that Civil War II made her into. It's almost like she's not the same character anymore.

@spitfirepanda: Will never get why Squirrel Girl not looking like a supermodel, and is aimed at kids and not horny teenagers equal SJW. I mean everyone looks a bit funny due to the art style. I swear the word SJW has no real meaning anymore alongside with everything being called Nazi for having any hint of racism.

I mean Ms. Marvel I get the hate, she was a beautiful female who basically had an entire redesign and push that it seems like a new character. With Rebirth Wonder Woman, her design still looks similar. She just wears a skirt now basically keeping the character intact and not coming off as being embarrassed that her previous costume revealed too much skin.

She is a completely different character, like totally different.

That's what I thought too but the way they did the sliding thing Ibprofen should have been out a for decades. Yet they clearly tried to set in the 70s. Thus laying down a HARD timeline for when Kamala visit.

She is still tied to Vietnam, I think. Carol is a boring character though that was only interesting while she was in Rogue's head.
