Wolverine Trilogy

Iron Man 2 and X-Men: Origins were both atrocious. Iron Man 3 and The Wolverine were both painfully boring and mediocre.

This is between Iron Man and Logan, and for me Logan wins that without question. Iron Man was great, and it kicked off a pretty legendary shared universe, but it still has nothing on Logan. The only CBM I put above Logan are the Nolan Trilogy, and the only other one in it's tier for me is DOFP.

1. Between Iron Man 1 and Wolverine Origins I'll chose Iron Man anyday.

2. Between Iron Man 2 and The Wolverine I'll take The Wolverine.

3. Between Iron Man 3 and Logan I will take Logan anyday of the week.

So overall Wolverine trilogy for me. The Wolverine had a better half than Iron Man 2 did and it didn't have a bunch of plot points with SHIELD and Justin Hammer. And Logan is self explanatory a very great film

It's basically down to The Wolverine and Logan against Iron Man for me. Iron Man 2 and 3 along with X-men Origins are average to bad. So they're irrelevant in a trilogy face off in my view. I could just say Wolverine's movies win just by the numbers, 2-1. But I'll say that Iron Man is better than The Wolverine, but on or near the level of Logan. I guess I'd give it to Wolverine's movies, because I really liked The Wolverine.

Iron Man vs X-Men Origins Wolverine: Iron Man by far

Iron Man 2 vs The Wolverine: Iron Man 2, but it's close

Iron Man 3 vs Logan: Logan by far

Winner: Wolverine ; despite winning less rounds, Logan made the trilogy as a whole better

Iron Man 2 was atrocious, X-men origin was just underwhelming but better then the shit Iron Man took and decide to call it a movie.

IM stomps. Loved IM 1 and 3. Two was OK.

Hated Wolverine 1 and 2 and loved Logan. So Ironman for the easy win.

The Wolverine trilogy had so much more emotion. So much more.

Still haven't watched Logan, but I actually think Iron Man trilogy is decent as a whole, while I really have not enjoyed the other Wolwerine movies. That said, Iron Man.

Wolverine trilogy. Both had 1 odd man out (Origins and Iron Man 3), but the really great movies for both (Logan vs Iron Man) was a no-contest. Plus, The Wolverine was better than Iron Man 2 in my opinion.

Logan isn't even that good.

Wolverine. The Wolverine and Logan were good, despite Origin; of the Iron Man trilogy, only the first one was good.

Iron Man trilogy. Iron Man 2 and 3 and The Wolverine are all passable, while Origins is a damn atrocity. Logan and Iron Man are both equally good, but I prefer Iron Man.

Iron Man. The first 2 Wolverine movies were painfully bad.

considering Logan is the number 1 CBM of all time it should stand to reason that the Wolverine trilogy is better.

Origins and IM 2 were atrocities, I actually rank IM 3 over The Wolverine, but Logan was so much better than IM 1 that its all a moot point.

Origins = Eeh I think it's pretty fun, people over hate that they used Deadpool's name for their own character. It's not as terrible as people call it imo.

It easily includes the worst movie of the two trilogies, but it's final two installments were good and really great respectively. The Iron Man trilogy declined with each iteration, and even though it's first installment was great, it's second was mediocre and it's third was just lame as hell.

Logan is exceptional but Iron man only has two meh/bad films, Origins is a dumpster fire.

IM: Good,not exceptional but still good

Overall I think Logan more than makes up for the first two wolverine movies.

It's funny how both trilogies are exactly the same. One great film, one horrible film, and one meh film. lol

For me, I'm gonna pick Iron Man over Logan. It's been 9 years and I think people have forgotten how phenomenal the original Iron Man really was. It took the world by storm, and I think people don't appreciate it as much because it's been ripped off by almost every other MCU film since, but independently, Iron Man was so original and clever and fresh.

I will say the Wolverine trilogy was better.

Comparing the best to the best and worst to worst:

The Best

Logan vs. Iron Man 1- Logan wins. Just a great movie. Iron Man is still one of my favorites and it set up the entire MU but it still isn't quite up there with Logan.

The Mid Range

The Wolverine vs. Iron Man 2- This is close. I actually like them both a lot. Sam Rockwell was great. The action in Wolverine was tops. I'll barely give this to Wolverine, since it was pretty lose to the comics, while Iron Man 2 combined Whiplash with Crimson Dynamo, which I hated.

The Ugly

X Men Origins vs Iron Man 3- Both are pretty awful. I guess I'd say Origins wins because Gambit was decent. Plus, IM3 ruined Mandarin, who I had been waiting a long time to see.

Ultimately I went with Wolverine.

Yeah I am still convinced Origins is overhated, if some people call IM2-3, Age of Ultron anywhere between good to mediocre then so is Origins.

I'm surprised Wolverine is winning.

Origins is painfully mediocre. The worst Iron Man film (in my opinion Iron Man 2) is actually a pretty enjoyable action movie.

Mid-range: Iron Man (2008) and The Wolverine. I'm not a big fan of either, but I like both enough. Tie.

My favourite Iron Man film is actually 3. My favourite Wolverine film is obviously Logan. Logan is a better film, but the problem is that Logan came so close to being a masterpiece, it frustrates me that they didn't go all the way with it.

I'm giving this to Iron Man. I prefer the IM trilogy.

Wolvie triology for the win

What is interesting is that each Iron Man movie got progressively worse while each Wolverine movie got better. I'm not sure if the greatness that is Logan balances out for the absolute horror that is X-Men Origins Wolverine. I wish that The Wolverine was better, specifically the third-act where the creators just completely gave up on doing something unique so I could give this to Wolvie, but looking at each trilogy as a whole, I have to side with Iron Man because IM2 and IM3 were mediocre and poor respectively but not to the same level as Wolverine's first two releases.

Wolverine had two good movies. Iron Man only had one.

From Iron Man trilogy only the first one was truly good, the other two were ok but nothing to write home about.

Ignoring Barakapool (ugh), X-Men Genesis: Wolverine was cool, Wolverine was awesome. Still have to watch Logan.

Origins loses it for wolverine. The wolverine was pretty good except for the bad ending. Iron man 2 was not bad at all. Iron man 1 was great and iron man 3 was good. Most hard core comic fans didnt like iron man 3 but the average movie goer did like it.

Logan was Rated-R, which is enough of a reason to say it was better than all of Bubble Gum IM movies.

Iron Man 2 butchered it's source material as bad as Origins did. Iron Man 3 was only a generic action movie. The Wolverine movies were the opposite, becoming more faithful to its source material with every movie.

Logan itself beats out most of the MCU imo. So Wolverine trilogy wins by default. But in order of these movies Logan>>>>>>>>>>>>Iron Man>>>>>The Wolverine>>>>>Iron Man 3>>>Iron Man 2=Origins
