Inception easily

Hype and grand-feel due to being built up on 18 films aside, it had a lot of weak moments

Inception by far. I'd take it over TDK.

IW stomps. Inception is probably the one Nolan I didn't like. Way to pretentious.

Didn't like Rises too though.

Inception was much better but IW was still pretty good. Inception is one of the most original sci fi movies in years and is brilliantly directed, written, shot and acted. IW was a good movie and an impressive effort but quite bloated.

Hmmm, not comparable IMO.

You're comparing a masterpiece of sci-fi film with a hyped and already overrated CBM.

CBMs should only be compared with CBMs, imo.

Inception was great, I don't really understand the love for IW, it's a good movie, borderline great, but it's not Award winning level.

I do it for the data as well. It´s interesting to know the demographics and shit

I imagine this poll in Nolan forums would be the other way around, here it´s kinda close, and how it would be in a more neutral forum?

Stuff like that.

Why do you are closed to the idea that CBMs should be only compared to CBMs?

Idk. It just feels off to compare them to anything else. I feel like most people who go to watch CBMs expect to have fun and be entertained, nothing more. And that's ultimately what they do, they're action and fun and visual effects. Only a handful go beyond that.

Inception, on the other hand, is a very complex and deep movie.

Inception was the movie that got me into movies, though 8 years later I realize it wasn't as good as I thought it was back then.

It's still a better film than IW.

Infinity War is a masterpiece.

I like Inception, but it's a drag, has severe pacing issues and nowhere near as much personality or character as Infinity War.

@theamazingspidey:

What makes you say Infinity War was a masterpiece?

I agree it was good, maybe even excellent, and I am astounded that they managed to fit so many heroes into one film.

However, it has major issues for me. There is way too much crammed into one movie, the Wakanda battle was mostly forgettable, none of the characters get enough screen time other than Thanos (who was a great villain by the way) and there is far too much action. The viewer doesn't get time to breathe, no time for characters, just loads and loads of action. Also, Star-Lord's character was basically just an idiot and totally out of character for a large portion of the film. All in all, I do think it's a good movie with a lot of strengths and overall is a very impressive achievement, but it has too many flaws to be a 'masterpiece'.

Inception, on the other hand, was, in my opinion, a near-perfect film. The cinematography, the writing, the action, the sheer originality and genius storytelling- the film was, for me, a modern masterpiece of science fiction. I never thought it had pacing issues. In fact, I thought the pacing was absolutely spot on. Maybe you are less patient than I, and thus would have enjoyed Infinity War more. Anyways, I suppose we should all be allowed our own opinions.

Cheers.

Wow, I had no idea it had made so much, that's bananas. A large part of that was likely the Nolan name and that he was coming off TDK, rather than the sheer popularity of the film, though I'm sure that contributed.

@payneintheass: It's really hard for me to conceptualize the motivations behind this two films ......although i had seen on review page that Nolin spent ten years on the screenplay of this film.....

Inception was really an interested science fiction film with drama between this two lovers had lead to such kind enticing factors that you will watch the film with continual interest towards the end of the film(especially the part where Cobb tells Mal the idea of creating this world was implanted by him). But there are some loopholes behind this film which i don't understand like before Fischer's father died he told he was disappointed that he tried ...whereas Fischer thought that his father was disappointed in him therefore I am asking what is the literal difference between this two statements????

Infinity War was also a type of movie where Thanos 's literal conception of destroying half the universe was not very convincing for me(even though i know that he was a Mad Titan) but the movie was orchestrated well to the end where each of the action-pack sequences on two sets of places (i.e extraterrestrial and terrestrial) led to some impressive feats to each actor acting towards their full potential ....

Overall both science fictions films on their view of perspective like dreams and reality are well constructed to be distinctive in Inception and Titan or Nidavelir or even battlefield of Wakanda were orchestrated in terms of fictional films.........
