say you were a superhero, and you had a rogues gallery like say Spider-man's for example, would you be fine with killing?
If you were a superhero, would you kill?
No I wouldn’t. If I have the power to turn someone in with no casualties then killing under the circumstances is pointless murder.
Probably not, I don't want to be a killer. If somebody like the Joker became my enemy and killing them was absolutely necessary, I would probably just retire lol
Only if it were necessary.
No, I wouldn't unless it was absolutely necessary. For instance, if they were trying to kill a hostage or child.
Depends on my powers.
You can't really expect a hundred percent survival rate of your opponents if your powers is literal knife fists.
Depends on what villain I'm facing.
If I get someone like the Joker, then yes, I would kill him. Because if I don't kill him, he'd kill a lot of other innocent people. But if my villain was just a thief with a strict anti-kill rule like, Captain Cold or someone then I'd just turn them in. I'd say it depends on the potential lives you can save by killing a supervillain. Intentional mass murderers would die, other criminals get turned in. The most brutal ones would either escape or get the chair in real life anyway.

Basically this. Can’t save everyone, but I can do my damned hardest to let people live.

I would most def kill. I would like to be an anti hero like red hood. I’m still gonna help the innocent and protein to pepole. But I find it funny how Batman gives permanent brain damage to a jaywalker and I would love to cause internal bleeding to a shoplifter.
I won't kill simple criminals like bank robbers unless it's the only way to save the innocents.
A mass murderer and a psychopath? Terminate with extreme prejudice.
thread reminds me of that new netflix show where the son of main character exploded the guys head and the father just berates him nonstop even though he saved him and like a lot of civilians in the area
I wouldn't be a superhero.
If I was it depends on the villain. I would arrest every villain the first time, but once someone serious (ie. a genocidal maniac/murder villain) escapes their life is forfeit.
It would be hard to kill obviously, but I would if I needed to.
If it's against someone that could eventully escape his containment and cause more harm/kill more people then yes I would, or at least incapacitate them in some manner they can't harm anyone else. Then again, depends on my powers and the criminal.
Against Spidey's Rogues? Nah. Green Goblin, Scorpion, and Doctor Octopus, definitely. Electro and Lizard don't really deserve death, because Max is just a thug that's been cheated by the system, and Curt is a tragic figure.
I'd be fine with killing but it'll be on a case by case basis. Somewhere in that happy middle ground between never killing and killing everyone.

That's why mind control is such a great super power. Just tell your opponents to stop and they'll do it.
Only as a last resort and only to save a life. in real life those criminals won’t be constantly escaping. There is no need to further some arbitrary plot by reusing the same villains. A lot of them would have gotten themselves killed anyway. The joker would have just gotten the death penalty or life without parole. It’s the same for Norman Osborne. Also, a lot of times the villains get arrested and they are just magically out without any explanation. That won’t happen in real life either. In real life you won’t have a rogues gallery because the legal system doesn’t work like comics so you really don’t have to worry about playing judge, jury, and executioner.
Don’t know. Maybe. I would hope not since it goes against my beliefs, however until you are in that situation, you never know how you are going to react. Will I see something that pushes me over the edge? Could I misinterpret something in the heat of the moment? Typically, superheroes don’t have the same strict training that designated law enforcement officers have to minimize errors in the field.
