People are saying Widow and/or Hawkeye? I feel like most of the Netflix MCU threats would be cakewalks for them. The Defenders wouldn't be needed if they came along lol.

I was thinking Spider-Man at first, but then I realized that Marvel Netflix and Homecoming have too much of a tonal difference. Is a concurring background that aligns with the MCU (Iron Man flying around, Infinity War, etc) without actually bringing in the characters an option...?

Hawkeye or Natasha in AoS. I would also love to see Strange and Danny compare Chi with Magic and K'un Lun. Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider interaction would be great as well.
I want my street-level superhero to be hanging out with these other street-level heroes. Logical choice is logical. It's a good way to introduce the grittier stories of the Spiderverse like Jean DeWolff and Kraven's Last Hunt too in the far-flung future.
It's also a good way to introduce the "New Avengers" team, though the problem of "MCU audience needs to watch the TV shows" remains a problem if Spider-Man is involved.
