I wouldn't say Leto because I'm not sure it was his fault. I feel there is good reason to say it was the director's fault and his vision. I could have seen Leto playing a more legit version of Joker easily if he was told too.

Exactly. I bet Leto can easily change up his Joker. Where, even if he acted more seriously, I can't see Eisenberg being a perfect Lex.
Toss up between Leto (Joker) and Eisenberg (Luthor). This Joker is terrible in my opinion and needs a redesign. (For God's sake get rid of that damaged tattoo on his forehead). This Luther is just... *sigh*

This, I agree Leto still has a lot of potential to be a good joker. The directing, script and supposed cutting out of his scenes did him no favors but he's got the acting down. Jesse is just too thin, frail looking and his voice is not deep enough to be the ideal Lex.
Lex by far. Jeto didn't let us down, the writes and directors did. I actually saw a glimmer of greatness buried in his Joker. Jessie's Lex on the other hand... Pure garbage.
@stoneyalex: i would replace eisenberg as lex. If he was older and played by bryan cranston he would be more intimidating. I was not scared of eisenbergs take it was laughable. He was an awkward hipster version of lex. If they nailed his character i think i would be able to get passed of all the other things i disliked in bvs. Casting is everything when making a super hero film. You could have everything going for your film and if your lead/villain/supporting character is miscast the core audience will s$#! all over your movie.
If I had to choose anyone it would easily be Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Why? Because I feel the problems I had with her character were caused by the limitations of her acting ability. The popular, and easy choices, like Lex and Joker, can be fixed with better direction and writing. And if you don't like Lex because he's too short or something, then join the rest of internet nerds in the "Gal Gadot is too skinny" camp.
Also, Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor is the laziest casting ever. He'd just play him as corporate Walter White. I don't want that.
Probably Lex. If WB wants a young Lex, I would have cast a handsome young guy who can play a charismatic Lex who people would buy as someone who can manipulate people with charm and energy. Eisenberg's Lex might be smart, but he isn't charming and does nothing to hide his obvious mental illnesses. My version of Lex may he amoral, but he would be good at hiding it.
I know people wouldn't agree with this, but Amy Adams. She is a great actress, but she isn't catty and tough like Lois should be. They should have modeled her personality (and casting) after Dana Delaney's Lois from the DCAU. Also Amy's pale ginger skin will make her age pretty noticeable in the coming years and it'll turn out like Jean Grey in the old X-Men movies where the actress aged dramatically from the first to third movies.
Will Smith. Although I believe he is feeling what he is supposed to be feeling in the movie, he still feels like he's just playing Will Smith and not Deadshot. I would have preferred an actor that can make the audience forget who they are in real life.
Affleck, not because he's a bad actor, because he's older. I don't know how long they plan on filming DC movies,but MCU casted younger and are able to use their actors longer. RDJ has been Iron-man for what? 10 years. I doubt we're getting that out of Affleck. Due to him being older,I feel like they're going to lower the intelligence on everyone so he can have his "wisdom with age" card. You know like..How Batman had to tell Flash to vibrate the bomb off his wrist in that animated movie,because he was too derpy to think it out himself.
I want to say Lex,Joker & Cavil... but it's not so much them,as it is the script.
Lex in a heart beat. So far he is the only casting in the DCEU that actually irritated me, and his performance didn't help. As in, it sucked.
I knew as soon as I heard that weasel would be Lex that he would Eisenberg it up to make Lex into a whiny child that couldn't intimidate a box of kittens. Lex needs physical and mental stature; he is not only the smartest guy in the room, but he also makes you feel inadequate in his physical presence. THAT is Lex Luthor.
And by the way - what's wrong with Brian Cranston playing Walter White for his Luthor? Make a few tweaks, and Walter White is a damn near perfect Luthor.
Although I agree I personally wouldn't want him in the role because he is too recognizable. Jaquin was a good pick in this thread
Easily Lex. His character was well written but the way he was acted was terrible. I was waiting for him to let out a "hoo hoo" as he skipped away twiddling his fingers.
Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, i'd replace him with Brian Cranston.
I would've loved Chris Pine as Hal Jordan tho.
I agree. I actually think Jesse Eisenberg would have played a better Joker. Not saying he would have been a great joker, but seems his character was more Joker like.
